It proved to be a strange start to the season as Norwich City lost 3-1 at Luton Town in the first round of the League Cup, without over 20 of their players.

Our Canaries correspondents David Freezer, Paddy Davitt and Connor Southwell reviewed the unusual opening day following the defeat at Kenilworth Road, which featured six debutants and three academy prospects on the bench as City's refreshed squad dealt with a clash with international fixtures and injuries.
