Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes
Once more we return to a post apocalyptic landscape filled with danger and uncertainty, though this time its not irradiated and the verdant green jungles are spilling over with life! We are returning to the Planet of the Apes for the beginning of possibly a whole new trilogy, set hundreds of years after the death of Caesar (Andy Serkis), this new story follows Noa (Owen Teague) a young Ape whose journey will bring him in contact with a speaking human, Raka; a charming Orangutan (Peter Macon) and Proximus Caesar (Kevin Durand) a Royal Bonobo with delusions of grandeur. There’s no rubber masks here, these Apes are 100% CGI and ready to kick ass.
Quinny is taking the role of the benevolent but bald Orangutan, Dion will be playing the Silverback Western lowland Gorilla, while Peta and Jill are probably the two well dressed human women forming complete sentences over in the corner.
Several generations in the future following Caesar’s reign, apes are now the dominant species and live harmoniously while humans have been reduced to living in the shadows. As a new tyrannical ape leader builds his empire, one young ape undertakes a harrowing journey that will cause him to question all that he has known about the past and to make choices that will define a future for apes and humans alike.
A huge thank you to all our speechless animalistic human beings who listen avidly to each show, gently snuffling and grunting their approval, joining in on the live-chat during the Twitch stream this week (and every week!). If you haven’t done so before, briing your clan of “echoes” to the live show with us 7:30pm next Tuesday to join in on the Ape overlord discussions. Eagle eyed readers may note the lack of Ape puns, but you know what, with Peta checking our Ape facts constantly we didn’t want to risk it!
Special love and thanks goes to those who have financially bolstered this podcast via dropping some their bananas into our Ko-Fi jar and now also by subscribing on Twitch! Your generosity is always appreciated!
If you feel so inclined drop us a sub! The more subs we get the more Emotes You get! Every bit of your support helps us to keep the royally mandated entertainment Ape performers plying their trade.
Don’t fret if you can’t be there for the recording though as you can catch them on Youtube usually later that very night. Make sure to subscribe so you don’t miss them!
