On this episode I sit down with University of North Florida Professor and Strength & Conditioning Coach Dr. Caleb Williams (@doccalebwilliams) to talk about managing acute to chronic workload ratios with an undulating periodization model. Caleb defines acute to chronic workload ratios, how we can use objective data and subjective reports to assess workloads, the importance of athlete communication and education, undulating periodization and its role in managing workloads, and the application of accommodating resistance within your model as it pertains to movement quality and limiting tissue damage.
