Rick discusses why you should never sell if you don’t have to and how to scale your portfolio to lead you to retirement. Rick currently owns a construction company, a property management company, a real estate brokerage, and several real estate holding companies. He currently has 42 units and manages 300 units for other investors. Rick is the president of the Connecticut Association of Real Estate Investors (CAREI), which is an organization that helps teach people the basic principles of investing in real estate and how to be a good landlord.
He is also the treasurer for the Connecticut Coalition of Property Owners. CCOPO is an organization that works on behalf of small to medium-sized landlords to defend landlords' rights at a state level. They defend against legislation aimed at harming housing providers and seek to put forth positive legislation to benefit both housing providers and tenants.
