Brian, Blake and Richard are back with an all-new episode of the Chasing Tone Podcast!

We have a bit of a different episode this week as we are joined by the insanely talented Dave Kilminster, a musician who has come from the mean streets of Bristol, UK (very similar to Indiana according to Richard - but he mixes up two Wurzels songs so what does he know?) via Keith Emerson, Steven Wilson and Roger Waters. Thats not a bad CV and we haven't even touched on half of it!
Starting out with a catastrophic injury that would have finished many people off before they started guitar wise, Dave went on to win a UK competition and had an established music teaching career before playing with some cast iron UK legends and he tells us about his early influences and the musical journey so far. There is a fair bit of Pink Floyd content here (I wonder who is to blame there), and he talks extensively about emulating David Gilmour, but there is also a whole load more and Dave gives us some very cool insights into touring and playing to a global stage.
We touch on Dave's Gear of course, and we learn some of the secrets he has learned about Gilmour's tone, and Richard fails massively to not be awestruck or convince Brian of his need to listen to more Floyd. He may be convinced to buy a Tele with a Whammy bar though. We talk about pickups and we talk about Dave's solo work and his upcoming album where he gets to be himself and how starting off listening to diverse musical styles really helped hone his skills. Blake is not to blame for the rise of streaming and tells us so pretty concisely.
Black Sabbath, Dave Grohl, How to audition properly, Electrocuted finishes, Dub side of the moon....it's all in this weeks Chasing Tone!
