Gather round good people of the soil and listen to a ballad of the year 1990 and a return to chores, stores, fresh air, and Times Square Super Mario Bros. time capsules in the television film Return to Green Acres. In yet another movie that reunites most of a television cast past their primes, we find Oliver and Lisa Douglas still struggling to make a living in their quaint though dysfunctional country home. But the norms of simple country life come to an abrupt end when a greedy land grabber rolls into town, and with the help of local swindler Mr. Haney, the land deeds of everyone in the town are taken, which forces the farm folk to pack up and face the tough streets of the Big Apple. It's up to the Douglas family save their country domicile and the make the final decision on where they'd rather stay.
