Public Integrity in Grenada

In this ParlAmericas Podcast episode, Ms. Anande Trotman-Joseph, discusses Grenada’s public integrity regime. She presents international conventions and agreements that guide core legislation on public integrity, including the creation and mandate of the Integrity Commission, allowing it to conduct investigations as well as public education and outreach. Furthermore, Ms. Trotman-Joseph highlights the importance of having a code of conduct, gift registry and regulations on conflicts of interests as good practices. She also draws attention to recommendations for an effective implementation of an integrity regime, like the need for political will and leadership, policy frameworks and national strategies to involve all stakeholders in efforts to tackle corruption, budget to ensure the independence of the commission, training sessions for public servants and the public at large, among others.
