ENJOY THIS EPISODE: Claire is the Founder and co-director of Yoga Truly Studios which has locations in Grimsby and Port Colborne as well as creator of the Ambassador Yoga 200 Hour Teaching Training Program. Claire’s purpose in life is to make yoga accessible to all people and guide them through yoga practices regardless of experience or ability. I met Claire as I was exploring alternatives to traditional medicine to help with my low back pain caused by herniated discs.As a guy, Yoga is not the first thing that jumped to my mind when I was looking to get into better shape but I’m so grateful for the friendly and supportive atmosphere Claire and Megan bring to health and getting back on your feet. For me that is literally the case. When I herniated the discs in my low back I knew surgery wasn’t an answer and after the Chiropractor got me ‘straightened’ out I needed to strengthen my core while protecting my back. Yoga has helped me get stronger and more able where nothing else worked.
Like me Claire’s first experience with yoga brought relief from chronic neck pain and inspired a deep appreciation for our physical bodies and their abilities. I couldn’t help but want to learn more about yoga’s healing possibilities and preventative philosophies. To me, Yoga is both a forgiving and encouraging practice that results in strength, flexibility and clarity. Yoga is a perfect blend of empowering techniques and a gentle security blanket.
