Sandra Beck of Military Mom Talk Radio speaks with Dr. Donald A. Moses, a seasoned psychiatrist with over 45 years of experience in treating drug and alcohol addiction. Dr. Moses, a clinical instructor at North Shore-Long Island Jewish Medical Center and former instructor in psychotherapy at Columbia P&S Hospital, began his work in drug addiction in 1962 on the heroin detoxification unit at Metropolitan Hospital, New York. He has served as a psychiatric consultant to the Long Island Jewish Hospital Adolescent Drug Day-Treatment Center and the Triboro Hospital Opiate Addiction Unit. Currently, in private practice, Dr. Moses employs psychodynamic therapy for outpatient treatment of substance abusers. He is the author of "Are You Driving Your Children to Drink? Coping With Teenage Alcohol and Drug Abuse," has published several articles, and is a reviewer for a professional journal.
