Sam Brake Guia was born in Bristol, UK, in 1993 to a mixed heritage family. His father, half Venezuelan and half British, grew up in New York before moving to the UK, while his mother is fully British. Despite his parents' separation at a young age, he appreciates his supportive step-parents. He had a loving upbringing in the UK countryside, which instilled in him a desire to explore the world. After studying psychology at university, he decided against pursuing further education in favor of traveling. He briefly worked in technology sales but felt unfulfilled. Inspired by his father's career as a flight attendant and their shared love for travel, Sam decided to embark on a journey, selling his possessions and buying a one-way ticket to the US. Sam is an energetic and passionate writer/presenter, always looking for the next adventure. In August 2016 he donated all of his possessions to charity, quit his job, and left the UK. Since then he has been on the road travelling through North, Central and South America searching for new adventures and amazing stories.
