Stories of Care Episode 3: Communication At Care

Communication at C.A.R.E. is the third episode of the podcast Stories of Care, a series featuring the clients, caregivers, friends and family of the C.A.R.E. Centre. The C.A.R.E Centre is a recreational centre for adults living with severe physical disabilities, many of whom are non-verbal and communicate through various low- and high-tech communication systems. In this episode, the caregivers of C.A.R.E. describe communication with C.A.R.E. clients, and, in so doing, describe the calling and values of caregiving.

Music in this podcast is chosen based on the numbers for ‘Feel’, ‘Think’, ‘Say’, and ‘Share’ in Bliss Communication, an eye communication system used by multiple clients at the C.A.R.E. Centre: 1205 Feel 1604 Think 0710 Say 0808 Share
