USMC Sgt. Basilone served with honor and bravery during some of the heaviest fighting in WWII. He lead machine gun teams and held off savage Japanese attacks at Guadalcanal, and then led an attack on Iwo Jima. He earned the US Medal of Honor and I am honored to tell you his story.
