You have a big presentation to give, or you’re ready to land media interviews or you want to share your story. So, what do you do? You hire the best professional who provide you with the best training.

In episode 107, Genny spoke with Nicole Dubé, founder of DUBÉ MEDIA, A former news anchor and co-host of CTV Morning Live for the past 10 years, Nicole has over 20 years experience in media and journalism.

Nicole spoke about how she got started in journalism. A high school senior, she interviewed a coach who happened to work at the Hamilton Spectator. After the interview, the coach suggested she apply for a co-op position at the Hamilton Spectator. After she landed the job, she started working in the news room and was even published – 8 articles - and the rest is history.

Nicole spoke about her tenure at CTV Morning Live, about the 3 am alarm, and the importance of routines and keeping to a highly tightened schedule to help keep her life on track. She also spoke about how things shifted for her during the pandemic; and started to question who she was, what was her identity, and what she really wanted. After making the decision to leave her dream job, she thought about her skill sets, what she was passionate about, and where she can make a difference. She decided to launch her business, and leave the world of journalism to become an entrepreneur.

She wants to help people with media training, helping them with presentation coaching, and brush up on communication skills. Her why is that she wants to add value to her life and help people, and her core value of unity to help people communicate their perspectives in a why that people can actually listen.

She’s looking forward to continuing to find her flow, her zone of genius, and having fun.
