If you invent something and want to sell it and make a profit there is no way around one major topic: protecting your intellectual property, short IP. Without protection, anyone who is not you can use and sell your invention, too. As a scientist researching molecules, IP protection is a different field. You might know it's important but do you know where to start?

In this episode of the Basel Area Business & Innovation podcast, we have an expert on the topic with us: Philipp Marchand studied chemistry and graduated in biophysics before he decided to become a patent attorney. Now he works with the law firm Vossius & Partner and advises companies on their IP strategy. He is also a partner of BaseLaunch and coaches biotech startups with their IP strategy.

Interview: Annett Altvater https://www.baselarea.swiss
