In today's society, it seems like lying is becoming more and more commonplace. Whether it's to avoid getting in trouble or to make ourselves look better, we often lie without even thinking about it. But why do we do this? Is there a reason that compels us to hide the truth? This Barok and Takya Bisaya Podcast episode: Why Not Tell the Truth? In the Surprising Reasons People Lie, we look closely at the surprising reasons people lie and what motivates them to do so. We also explore the effects of lying on both the individual and society as a whole.

In their Bisaya Podcast episode, the reasons given by Barok and Takya are surprising and may cause some to rethink their previous assumptions about why people lie. One reason for not telling the truth is that it can be used as a form of self-protection. This is especially true in cases where the truth could be used against someone or where it could lead to them being hurt in some way. In other cases, people may lie to avoid conflict or to make others feel better. However, lying can also have negative consequences, causing distrust and further deception. As Barok and Takya point out, sometimes the truth is more important than protecting ourselves or others from hurt feelings. When we choose to tell the truth, we show that we are capable of trust and integrity.

So if you're curious about why people lie, give this episode a listen! And if you enjoyed the episode, please consider sharing it on social media or with your friends.
