Participants get a free teacher account on Canvas or on Free Online Courses Moodle site to develop their own online courses.
As participants progress through the program, they gain hands-on experience in designing and delivering interactive online lessons in their online courses. The integration of AI tools allows educators to personalize learning experiences, tailoring instruction to meet the unique needs and progress of each student. This approach not only enhances student engagement but also ensures that lessons are dynamic and adaptable, keeping students motivated and involved in the learning process.
A key aspect of the program is the practical application of teaching core language skills—speaking, listening, reading, and writing—in an online context. AI-driven tools are leveraged to provide real-time feedback and support, enabling participants to adjust their teaching strategies as needed to better support their students' learning journeys. In the final week, participants synthesize their learning by creating a digital ebook using Book Creator. The book showcases and reflects their journey through the program. Using tools like Book Creator, they compile their developed course materials, teaching strategies, and personal reflections into an interactive and engaging digital portfolio.
The program concludes with a forward-looking discussion on the future of TESOL, exploring how AI and digital platforms will continue to influence the field. Participants leave the program equipped with the skills and knowledge to lead in the next generation of online English language teaching.
