37:37How To Achieve Financial Independence Through Network Marketing for Single Parents: 10 Common questions asked and answered 10 common questions that get asked when learning how to start a network marketing business. How can I balance the demands of my family and my network marketing business? What skills do I need to develop to succeed in network marketing? How can I build a strong network of customers and distributors? What products or services should I focus on selling? How much time should I dedicate to my network marketing business each week? What are the most effective marketing strategies for network marketing? How can I avoid scams and choose a reputable network marketing company? How much money can I realistically expect to earn from my network marketing business? What are the common pitfalls and challenges faced by single parents in network marketing? How can I stay motivated and overcome obstacles in my network marketing journey? #1 How can I balance the demands of my family and my network marketing business? Balancing the demands of family and business can be challenging, but it's important to establish a schedule that works for you and your family. This may involve setting aside specific times of the day for work, prioritizing tasks based on importance, and outsourcing tasks when possible. For example, you could set aside two hours each day to focus on your network marketing business while your children are at school, and then spend the rest of the day with your family. #2 What skills do I need to develop to succeed in network marketing? To succeed in network marketing, it's important to develop skills such as effective communication, sales, and leadership. The great thing about Network Marketing, is you will Earn while you Learn. You will be learning everyday from your support team. If they are successful, then all you have to do, is copy what they are doing and you will be successful too. Get to know the tools that you have access to. Rely on the tools versus you’re knowledge about the products, compensation plan, company, etc. Keep everything you do, duplicatable. #3 How can I build a strong network of customers and distributors? Building a strong network of customers and distributors involves developing relationships with others and providing them with value. This may involve reaching out to your personal network, attending events, and leveraging social media platforms. For example, you could start by reaching out to friends and family members and ask them if they are open to taking a look at your new product / service you. The worse case scenario, they say no 🤷🏻♀️. Our job as distributors is, expose, expose, expose. Our job is NOT convince, convince, convince. Stay consistent with asking “are you open to taking a look…” everyday! #4 What products or services should I focus on selling? The products or services you choose to focus on selling will depend on your interests and the needs of your target market. It's important to choose products or services that you believe in and that offer value to your customers. For example, if you're passionate about health and wellness, you could focus on selling products related to nutrition and fitness. When you’re passionate about the products or services, it will make building your business a lot more fun and it will build faster, because people will be able to feel your passion. #5 How much time should I dedicate to my network marketing business each week? The amount of time you dedicate to your network marketing business will depend on your goals and availability. It's important to set realistic expectations and to prioritize your time effectively. For example, you could aim to spend 10-15 hours per week on your business while still dedicating time to your family and other commitments. Get together with your upline support team. Tell them what your financial goals are and by when. They will then be able to give you an estimate as to how much time you should dedicate to your business. As an example: if you’d like to earn $10,000 per month and you want to reach that amount within your first 90 days, you are not going to get there if you can only work 2 hours per week. #6 What are the most effective marketing strategies for network marketing? Effective marketing strategies for network marketing may include social media marketing, content marketing, email marketing, texting, dm’s, calling or zooms, events, word of mouth marketing and warm marketing. It's important to choose strategies that are cost-effective and that reach your target market. For example, you could create content such as blog posts or videos that highlight the benefits of your products or services and share them on social media platforms. NOTE: Do NOT share the name of the product or company in your videos or posts. You can share people’s results as well as your own, but the idea is to create curiosity so someone reading your content will want to reach out to you to find out what it is you’re marketing. #7 How can I avoid scams and choose a reputable network marketing company? To avoid scams and choose a reputable network marketing company, it's important to do your research and ask questions. Look for companies that have a proven track record and that are transparent about their business practices. For example, you could ask for references from other distributors or research the company's history and financial stability. For a more in-depth list of questions and items to look for, listen to my podcast, Single Parent SuperPower episode #1. It’s the very first episode I ever did, because this is where we have to start - we have to choose the right company for us. #8 How much money can I realistically expect to earn from my network marketing business? The amount of money you can earn from your network marketing business will depend on your efforts and the compensation plan of your company. It's important to set realistic expectations and to focus on building a sustainable business over time. For example, you could aim to earn an extra $500 per month to start and then gradually increase your earnings over time. This is a business where there isn’t a ceiling on your income. The sky really is the limit, but it is based upon your efforts. This is not a get rich quick deal, this is a get rich eventually (way better than never). The key is consistency! #9 What are the common pitfalls and challenges faced by single parents in network marketing? Common challenges faced by single parents in network marketing may include managing time effectively, dealing with rejection, and balancing work and family responsibilities. It's important to have a support system in place to help you overcome these challenges. For example, you could join a network marketing group for single parents or seek the advice of a mentor who has experience balancing network marketing and parenting. Rely on your support team for guidance. Leverage them as well are the tools. You are not a one man band. Set your schedule every Sunday night for the upcoming week and stick to that schedule (with the exception of unexpected things that pop up - sick child, etc) #10 How can I stay motivated and overcome obstacles in my network marketing journey? To stay motivated and overcome obstacles in your network marketing journey, it's important to focus on your goals and the benefits of your products or services. It can also be helpful to track your progress and celebrate small wins along the way. For example, you could set a goal to enroll a certain number of new distributors and new customers each month. Track your progress. Celebrate each new distributor and each new customer as a small win and use that momentum to motivate yourself to continue working towards your larger goals. Always keep in mind why you’re doing this. Not everyday is going to be easy. You have to keep your driving force in the forefront of your mind. That will help propel you when you have those days where nothing seems to go right and your biggest leader just quit. Those things happen, and that’s okay. Just keep moving forward and don’t compare yourself to others…EVER! Chapters: 1. Start Your Network Marketing Business With Confidence as a Single Parent. (00:00 - 06:07) 2. Help team members get to the next rank in the compensation plan. 5. Keep the process simple for people to understand. 6. Rely on external validation to gain trust. 7. Have a clear plan for the month with an income and rank goal in mind. 8. Leverage time and tools to maximize results. Are you looking to build a successful network marketing business? Do you want to maximize your month and achieve your goals? In this article, we'll share some tips on how to effectively build your network marketing business and make the most out of your month. Set Your Goals The first step in maximizing your month is to set clear and specific goals. At the beginning of the month, take some time to identify what you want to achieve by the end of the month. This may include the rank you want to reach and the amount of money you'd like to earn. Write down your goals and keep them visible throughout the month to help you stay focused. Focus on Introducing Others For the first two weeks of the month, focus on introducing as many people as possible to your products and opportunity. This may involve hosting events, reaching out to your personal network, or leveraging social media to reach new people. The goal during this time is to build your prospect list and introduce your business to as many people as possible. Help Your Team Members During the second half of the month, shift your focus to helping your new team members build their businesses. Spend time working with them one-on-one to help them get started, and encourage them to reach out to their own networks to expand their reach. By helping your team members succeed, you'll also be helping yourself reach your own goals. Check In With Your Organization As the end of the month approaches, it's important to check in with your organization to see who is close to the next rank, who is slightly short for their monthly order, or who needs help placing their monthly order. This is also a good time to check in with your customers to ensure their monthly orders have processed correctly. Take Action The final days of the month are critical for maximizing your results. Use this time to take action and make sure you're doing everything you can to help your team members and customers succeed. This may involve following up with prospects, making calls to your team members, or hosting a last-minute event to help people reach their goals. In conclusion, building a successful network marketing business requires focus, dedication, and a clear strategy. By setting clear goals, focusing on introducing others, helping your team members, and taking action, you can maximize your month and achieve the results you desire. So take action today and start building your network marketing business! Resources: Grab your FREE gift! Grab The Ultimate Home Business Success Guide for Single Parents now! 20:17Staying Motivated and Positive: How to Push Through Difficult Times as a Single Parent Entrepreneur Episode #031 Intro: Today, we’ll be discussing how to stay motivated when things are not going your way in either your personal life, business life, or even both, at the same time are making you feel frustrated and overwhelmed. It happens. There was a time when the company I was with changed their compensation plan, again, for the worse again, and key leaders on my team were seriously talking about quitting. They had had enough. I didn’t blame them, but I was trying to hold my business together, trying to settle my team down and talking to corporate to try to get them to fix what they did. Both my daughters were in a very expensive private school at the time. I was the mom, dad and provider and here’s my business on the brink of going up in flames. That same week, I discovered the man I had been dating for 3 years, at the time, the guy I thought I was madly in love with, had been cheating on me pretty much the entire time we were together. I just wanted to crawl into be and stay there. I didn’t want to deal with my business I didn’t want to deal with my personal life, I just wanted to stay in bed. And I did, for 1 day. I drove my girls to school, came home, hopped back into bed. I didn’t answer a single call or reply to a single text all day. Picked up my girls from school. Told them I had a headache and went back to bed. I had pizza delivered and called it a day. I’m not proud of how I handled what was going on, but when shit hits the fan from multiple directions, you’re bound to get hit in the face with some. That’s life sometimes. I realized that I couldn’t continue to live everyday in bed. I had major responsibilities, not only to my daughters, but also to my team, so I had to dig deep and tapped into my Driving Force. I incorporated the tips and strategies I’m going to give you here today and managed to get up, take a shower, and began dealing with my issues at hand, one at a time. It was not easy, but I took one step in the right direction over and over again until I was out of the mess and back on track. Then I kept doing what I’m about to share with you, and still do today. This helps prevent, or at least it helps minimize the rut, slump, frustration or overwhelm that we find ourselves in from time to time and keep the motivation to move forward going. “The Struggle of Staying Motivated” We all know how hard it is to stay motivated when things aren't going well. Whether your personal life is in shambles or your business is not growing as fast as you expected, like in my story I just shared with you, it’s easy to give up on everything and throw in the towel. But here's the thing: success requires consistent action, even when it feels like nothing is working. We need to dig deep and find the motivation within ourselves to keep going- no matter what! Here are the Tips & Strategies I use to Stay Motivated: They are tried-and-tested to help you stay motivated, even when things seem impossible... 1. Give yourself grace. Cut yourself some slack from time to time- sometimes it’s okay if you don’t have that extra energy or enthusiasm for doing something. Acknowledge where you are right now instead of expecting too much from yourself 2. Celebrate small wins. It can be really hard when our main goal seems far away or out of reach, so celebrate each step along the way! Celebrating small wins helps us appreciate our progress while also keeping us motivated to keep going 3. Stop comparing yourself to others. Comparing ourselves can be detrimental as it can lead us into a spiral of feeling inadequate or unworthy compared to others who may appear more successful than us at first glance. Instead of comparing yourself to others, focus on making progress over time and celebrating your own accomplishments 4. Connect with other people who understand & empathize with what you’re going through. Having relationships with people who have been through similar experiences can help keep you motivated and remind you that there is hope for better days ahead. This is where a good accountability partner comes in very handy. We covered that in last weeks episode #30 5. Take care of yourself first & foremost before anything else- make sure you’re getting enough sleep, eating healthy meals, exercising regularly etc so that your body & mind has enough energy & motivation to keep pushing forward towards success! Bonus Tip: It can also be helpful to create daily routines that keep you disciplined and productive while building your business. This might include setting up specific goals each day or scheduling out different tasks at certain times of the day so that you stay on track with all that needs to be done. Having this kind of structure will not only help keep you organized but will also give you a sense of accomplishment as tasks are completed one-by-one. Conclusion: Even though it can feel like everything is out of our control at times, remember that we still have power over ourselves and our actions - we just need to find ways of staying motivated no matter what! By following the tips discussed in today’s episode, we can make sure that we stay focused on our goals, personal and business, even during difficult times…. I am here for you every step of the way. Chapters: 1. Staying Motivated and Taking Action Even When Life Throws You a Curveball (00:00 - 06:07) 2. 5 Tips to Stay Motivated, Even During Life's Most Difficult Times (06:07 - 12:12) 3. Getting Motivated in Difficult Times: The Keys to Staying Positive and Productive (12:12 - 16:32) Long Summary: When faced with multiple pressures it is important to recognize and utilize one's driving force to stay motivated. Breaking the task down into manageable steps is an effective way of dealing with the issues and achieving the desired outcome. It is necessary to monitor mental health and wellbeing, which can be done by being kind to oneself and celebrating even the small wins. To further improve mood, motivation and overall wellbeing, it is beneficial to embrace things like sunshine and positive music, creating a daily routine and setting goals for oneself each day. Lastly, prioritizing self care and giving grace is paramount. Resources: Grab your FREE gift! Grab The Ultimate Home Business Success Guide for Single Parents now! 19:15The Power of an Accountability Partner Episode #30 One of the many advantages of building a network marketing business happens to also be one of the things that makes it so appealing to parents, especially single parents. That is…you are your own boss, and you set your own hours. No one looking over your shoulder with deadlines and project due dates. No one checking your time sheet to see if you arrived late or left early. If one of your children wake up sick and can’t go to school, you don’t have to panic trying to find a last minute sitter, or having to lie to your boss telling them you’re sick and can’t come in. Being your own boss definitely has a lot of perks. You can make your own hours, take days off when you want, and work from the comfort of your own home. But, let's face it, it's not all rainbows, butterflies and unicorns. It can be really tough to stay on track and be productive when there's no one breathing down your neck telling you what needs to get done and telling you what time to show up and what time to leave. That's where an accountability partner comes in. An accountability partner has to be someone you respect. If you don’t respect them, this will not work. If you respect them, you won’t want to let them down. An accountability partner will hold you accountable for showing up and doing the work, even when you don't feel like it, ESPECIALLY when you don’t feel like it. Having someone in your corner who understands what you're going through and can offer words of encouragement (or a swift kick in the pants) can make all the difference in the world when it comes to staying on track and building your business. Not sure how to find an accountability partner? Here are a few tips: Look for someone who is in a similar situation as you. It’s best if. You can find someone who is in the same network marketing company as you, but they don’t have to be. They can be someone in your upline who you respect and who understands, not only your life situation, but also your goals. If you can find someone who is also a single parent, that is a great plus, but again, not necessary. The most important part about having an accountability partner is that they understand: Where you currently are Where you want to be (and by what time period) What your working hours are How often are you going to connect Make sure your accountability partner is someone who has similar goals as you, or higher. If their goals are less than yours, they are not going to be very motivating. You want to make sure that you're both working towards the same things. For example, if your goal is to lose 20 pounds and their goal is to gain 20 pounds, chances are that they're not going to be very helpful when it comes to staying on track with your diet and exercise plan. Find someone who shares your vision and who will help you stay focused on your goals. And speaking of goals... Make sure that your goals are Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound (SMART). This will help ensure that both you and your accountability partner are clear on what needs to be done and when it needs to be done by. There's nothing worse than getting halfway through a goal and realizing that it wasn't actually achievable in the first place! By making sure your goals are SMART from the start, you can avoid this pitfall altogether. So if you're struggling to stay on track with your business or personal goals, consider finding yourself an accountability partner. They really can provide much-needed support and motivation when times are tough. By following the tips above, you’ll not only find an accountability partner who is perfect for you, but you will also get the maximum benefit out of having a partner! By the way, you can adopt this in all areas of your life. I have always had an accountability partner for my network marketing business as well as for working out. Before my girls went away for college, I’d workout at 5:30am. That way, I could get my workout done, come home, shower, take my girls to school, come home and start my day. But there was no way I’d do that on my own. My friend Jillian and I would hold each other accountable. If I woke up first, I’d text her an emoji of 2 paperclips, why paperclips, who knows, if she woke up first, she’d do the same. There was no way we would let the other one down. Could you imagine if I didn’t show up and she was there by herself? She would have killed me, or at the very least, she would have never let me forget it - I would never have done that, because I respected her enough to not want to let her down. And that is what you are looking for in your own accountability partner. Someone you respect enough, not to let them down. Key Highlights: 1. Gaining Flexibility and Freedom as a Single Parent with Network Marketing: The Benefits of Having an Accountability Partner (00:00 - 06:13) 2. Maximizing The Benefits of An Accountability Partner: Setting Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and Time-Bound Goals. (06:13 - 11:58) 3. Harnessing the Power of an Accountability Partner for Achieving Positive Results (11:58 - 16:05) Brief Description: Building a network marketing business is a great opportunity for single parents who want to work from home and set their own hours. To ensure success, single parents can set a personal schedule, communicate their working hours to an accountability partner, meet with them regularly, and set SMART goals. By finding a supportive and reliable accountability partner and engaging in positive behaviors together, single parents can maximize the business structure and fit it in around their children's schedule to achieve success. 19:40Introduction: As the old saying goes, “What gets measured, gets accomplished.” When it comes to building your network marketing business, this rings truer than ever. It’s not enough to have a vision for your business—you have to break that vision down into achievable goals and track your progress along the way. To stay motivated and on track, I like to break my goals down into bite-size chunks: 30 days, 60 days, 90 days, 6 months, 1 year, 2 years, 3 years, 4 years, 5 years… and then keep tracking my progress! This episode will walk you through how to do the same. Measure Your Progress Every Step of the Way Let’s start with day one. When you start your journey as a network marketer, you should be asking yourself questions such as “How many people can I reach out to today?” or “How many times can I follow up with someone?” These are all measurable activities that will help build your business over time. As you begin to build relationships with customers, make sure you are reaching out regularly and helping them use your products and services correctly. This is an important part of measuring success—you have to ensure that customers are actually using the products or services correctly for the best results. Set Goals for Every Stage of Your Journey Breaking down your long-term goals into smaller chunks will help you stay motivated and on track as you work towards achieving success in network marketing. Start by focusing on short-term goals—what do you want to accomplish within the first 30 days? How about 60 days? 90 days? Then look at mid-term goals like 6 months or 1 year; finally think about what success looks like after 2-5 years in business. Writing these goals down helps visualize them—and seeing them written down makes it easier to envision what success looks like! I’ve been listening to Bob Proctors latest book, Change Your Paradigm, Change Your Life. It’s a great book by the way. Anyway, he said, that even to this day, every morning, he writes down what it is that he wants for his business 5 times in a row, speaks it out loud 5 times and records himself saying it. He then sends that recording to his business partner, who is also his accountability partner and she does the same. This is a great habit to get into. Pick an accountability partner. That, will help you stick to this new habit. Be specific with what you want and write it down. Don’t write down “I want to make a lot of money with my network marketing business”. This maybe what you do actually want, but break it down, bit by bit and make a measurable amount of progress in a reasonable amount of time. Breaking down specifically what it is that you want, will help you achieve your ultimate goal quicker. Ask yourself the following questions for each of the time frames 30 days, 60 days, 90 days, 6 months, year 1, year 2, year 3, year 4, year 5 - What rank would you like to achieve? -By the way… Once you have decided what that is, find out how many customers and team members it will take to get to each of those ranks. If you don’t know, no problem, most people who are just getting started don’t know. That is what your upline support team is for. Ask them to help you treat it down. This will then help you identify how many people to reach out to on a daily, weekly basis to reach you goals. How much money would you like to earn per month? How much money would you like to save and/or invest? How much debt will you be paying down? What vacations will you be taking and to where? Feel free to add in additional questions that fit the needs of your family, but answer them for the same timeline, even if the answer is 0. Chances are, you’re not going to go on a holiday at each of these time intervals, as an example. Reward Yourself Along the Way Building a successful network marketing business takes hard work and dedication—so don’t forget to reward yourself along the way! Set milestones throughout your journey and give yourself a pat on the back when you hit them. Celebrate small wins like signing up a new customer or getting positive feedback from an existing customer; these little wins add up over time! Plus rewarding yourself for meeting milestones gives you something extra to strive for as you continue working towards long-term success in network marketing, it also helps train your brain to want to do the right actives everyday. Keep track of your daily and weekly activity along the way. This will not only allow you to keep on track and pin point what is working really well, but it will also help you identify what isn’t working, or what you’re having a difficult time with. You can then take that information to your upline support team for a fix and refine session to help ensure you stay on track and on target. Conclusion: Building a successful network marketing business requires hard work and dedication—but it doesn’t have to be overwhelming or daunting! By breaking down long-term goals into smaller ones and tracking your progress along the way (measuring what gets accomplished), achieving success becomes much more manageable—and even enjoyable! Do you get confused with all of the conflicting information out there on how to build your network marketing business what you should do and not do? I am going to clear up some of that up here today on this weeks episode of the Single Parent Super Power Podcast! My hope is that by the end of this episode you are less confused and you'll have a focus and a handle on what you need to do, everyday, in order to build a successful network marketing business that will last a lifetime. Before I get into this episode, I want to share something I am very passionate about. If you are a single parent and you want to have a successful network marketing career, but you’re not quite sure how, or what to do? Maybe you've tried before but never had any success. I have the answer for you! I have created a community of single parents just like you who are succeeding in network marketing. We provide support, resources, and training so that you can achieve the level of success you desire. Success as a single parent is 100% possible in network marketing! Join our community and we will help you every step of the way. Visit www.spspcommunity.com to see how for less than $1 per day, you can have all of the support and guidance you will ever need to have the success you and your children deserve. Okay, let’s dive in. There is so much conflicting information and training out there right now, more than ever before. It's hard to know what you are supposed to do and not do how you're supposed to do it and how you're not supposed to do it. It seems like every time there's some thing a new training out there that tells you to do one thing the next week there's a training that tells you to do something completely opposite. As an example I just listened to a gentleman who said that you don't need to have a “why” in order to have success in this industry. Yet there are people that teach, myself included, that you need to have a why, better yet you need to have your driving force. Why are you doing what you're doing. I have to admit though, this training that I listen to, if I was brand new in the industry, he was very good. He was very convincing, to the point of, if I didn't know better and I was just getting started, I would not have focused on identifying my way or my driving force, which by the way would have been a HUGE mistake. Let me tell you the truth, as fun as our industry can be, there are ups and downs, just like with anything. The difference between having ups and downs say at your job, you have people around you, you have a boss that you answer to, so it’s easier to get out of a down time and turn things around. However, with building a network marketing career, you are your own boss and when you go through the rollercoaster of building your business, you will be very tempted to stop working for the day, week, month, or even quit if you hit a big down period. The ONLY thing that will help pull you out and turn it around is your “why”, your “driving force”. If you haven’t done so yet, check out the 7 levels deep exercise. That will help you identify your true driving force and will make you unstoppable. You can find it on spspcommunity.com/podcast - also in the show notes. So Conflicting Information #1 - do you or don’t you need a “why” / “driving force”….absolutely you need it! Next…There are people out there teaching that you have to do three reels a day in order to have success in Network Marketing. Then there are people that say that you don’t need to do reels. Okay, so this form of marketing is fairly new, it’s only a few years old and already it has changed so much! Last year, you could post a reel, didn’t even have to be that great of a reel, and you’d wake up to sales in your inbox. That is NOT the case anymore! I see too many people doing 1 of 2 things. #1. They are spending way too much time creating their reels - hair, make up, lighting, clothes, shooting, editing, etc., that they are not doing the actual work they need to be doing in order to have the success they are wanting, and, on top of it, they’re barely getting any engagement. Hardly anyone is even seeing their reels. #2. Or they are so terrified of actually doing a reel, yet they think they have to in order to have success, they feel as though they almost have to be an actor to have success, so they become paralyzed and end up doing nothing. Both are wrong. Reels, or short form videos are great. They definitely get pushed out to more people than a simple post, but they are not the be all end all, nor do they have to have a high production value. If you posted 10 reels a day (which is insane) and that’s all you did, you would not have success in network marketing. If doing reels takes you away from reaching out to actual people, then don’t do them, or cut back how you are doing them. They don’t have to be perfect. You don’t have to be perfect. Done is better than perfect. If you can batch filming your reels in 1 day, you can bang out a months worth with a little bit of preplanning and organization. Sit down for 1 hour and do a quick scroll through peoples reels. (Set your timer, don’t go down the black hole of scrolling for hours). Find the reels that resonate with you and that have good engagement. Write down the idea and make a note of the reel. Do this 15-20 times and you now have all of your ideas for a months worth of reels. Since not that many people see them anyway, realistically, you can always repurpose them in a month or so. Keep this in mind when you are batch filming. Avoid mentioning dates, or time of year. Keep it evergreen, so you can use them over and over again. So Conflicting Information #2 - do you or don’t you need to do reels? It’s a good idea, but you don’t need to do 3 per day. 1 every other day is fine. Don’t let it distract you from the task you need to do to really build your business. Reels will not build your business. There are people who say you need to post 2- 4 times everyday on social media plus post 5-7 stories everyday. Then there are people who say posting on social media isn’t all that it’s cracked up to be and you won’t get sales from it anymore anyway, like you use to a couple of years ago. Okay, so keep in mind that less than 6% of your social media friends or followers will ever see the content you’re putting out. So, kind of like the reels, don’t let it suck up your time. What happens a lot is we get busy doing busy work and none of it converts to sales. Let me clear this one up for you, because it does get confusing. I have listened to trainings from 2 different leaders in our industry, who are both earning several millions of dollars per year with their company’s and the BOTH contradicted one another. It’s no wonder people are confused. LOL Anyway, here is what you do… Yes, you post and yes you add stories, however, you don’t need 2, 3, 4 posts per day or 5, 6, 7 stories per day. You do need to have a social media presence, mainly because when you are reaching out to people, cold marketing or warm market, the first thing they are going to do, is check out your profile page and see what you have been posting. Posting 1 time per day and adding a couple of stories per day is plenty. You can do more, but you have to be mindful of tasks that take you away from doing the actual income producing activities like reaching out, following up and growing your list of contacts (which could be growing your social media friends and followers) Just like with the reels, do the same thing here. You can take 1 hour and scroll through to find posts that resonate with you and they have good engagement. Make a note of them and copy the link. Then take 2-3 hours 1 day per month and create your posts for the month, or if that is too overwhelming for you, you can take 30min per week and create your posts for that week. Batching is a lifesaver. It is worth taking a little time to organize your thoughts and map out your posts, than to have to create and post everyday. Trust me, you won’t be able to stay consistent. Being consistent, plus your messaging is what people who are checking out your profile and posts, really care about. They will see your commitment level through your consistency and they will either identify with what you are putting out there or they won’t. If they do, then they are your perfect customer and/or teammate. So Conflicting Information #3 - Do you post and add to your stories? Yes, but not as much as what some people are saying. You only need 1 post per day and a couple of stories that help people get to know you (more behind the scene, get to know you, kind of content) So Conflicting Information #4- (there are more, but we will stop at this one for now) There are people who say find your niche and speak to your people. Then there are people who say don’t so exclusive. Niching down is thinking small. There’s a saying out there that says “if you are talking to everyone, you’re talking to no one”. You do need to identify who it is that you would like to work with and help. What type of people do you want to surround yourself with? What struggles are they facing? What solutions can you offer them? Then target all of your content towards that person. As if you are talking to your best friend. This will help you sift and sort through the right people and will cut down on wasting time with the wrong people. When you are working with the right people, the right people for you, your business will grow 100 times faster than if you are working with the wrong people. Sometimes, especially I think as single parents with a huge amount of financial responsibility on our shoulders, we think we want anyone and everyone to join our business and I can promise you, that is not the case. You will end up wasting so much time and mental energy dealing with people that you don’t want to deal with every single day. You don’t want to sell you soul for the quick money today. This is a marathon, not a sprint. Stay consistent reaching out to people. Stay consistent with putting out good, thoughtful content and your business will become a success. Do this for 90 days and you will have a business you couldn’t stop if you tried. So Conflicting Information #4- Should you find your niche, or widen your market? Identify who is it you would like to work with and/or help. Who do you want to surround yourself with? Identify their struggles and what solutions you have for them and create all of your content and messaging towards that person. Your business will grow faster, you’ll have more success, plus a heck of a lot more fun if you build this way, than if you try to market to everyone. No one will hear you. There’s too much information out there. A coach of mine told me this recently - she said “a robin can only hear the song of another robin” You are singing with your content and messaging and your robins will hear you loud and clear. I hope this weeks episode gave you clarity and left you feeling empowered. You can do this my friend. If you are a single parent and you want to have a successful network marketing career, but you’re not quite sure how, or what to do? Maybe you've tried before but never had any success. 20:41“Why Aren’t My Customers Reordering?” Episode 25 Do you have customers or even distributors that come in and order one time and never order again? Are you wondering why people aren't reordering month after month. I mean after all you did get involved in Network Marketing so you can build up your residual income. You know the products work. So why aren't they ordering again? Well, I’ll tell you exactly why, there's a couple reasons, either you didn't follow up with them to make sure they are taking the products or using your service the right way, everyday, or your products really don't work. Now I know you wouldn't be selling your product or services if they didn't work, so of course that's not the issue. Which leaves the hard truth of, most likely, it's because you didn't follow up with them correctly, or enough. When people buy your product or service they have every intention of using it the right way every day, being consistent, but it's adding a new habit into their life. Usually for a person to implement a new habit into their life they need an accountability partner to make that habit stick. That's where we come in! We care about the results our customers get with our products or service. Now keep in mind, our distributors or team members are also our customers. Anybody who consumes our products or service are our customers. Not everybody is going to build a successful network marketing business like you. Not everybody will put in the type of effort that it takes to build a successful business in Network Marketing. Yet our products and services are things that everybody can use and benefit from. Let me back up for a second, to state the obvious, as a business owner, which is what we are, we want people to re-order month after month. These are people that we exposed to our product or opportunity, they went through the information. Fell in love with what they saw and they placed an order. The hard work has already been done. However, the real money in network marketing, the real freedom, time freedom and financial freedom all comes from your re-orders. Yes do you make bonuses for different ranks you achieve, fast start bonuses, maybe a car bonus, yes most companies have bonuses, but those are all frosting on the cake. Your actual cake, your foundational income, the money coming in month after month that you can count on, all comes from people who love your products or services so they are re-ordering month after month year after year. They are “Lifers”. God forbid there is a natural disaster and they have to evacuate, they are taking their kids, pets, pictures, and your products. LOL This is your bread and butter. If you think of a bicycle wheel. The hub of that wheel is your recurring monthly revenue which is the revenue you receive from the orders that come in month after month. The spokes on that wheel are the different bonuses that you receive the advancement bonuses, the car bonuses, the rank advancement bonus is the fast start bonuses, you name it. Now don't get me wrong, bonuses are great! I love frosting, but without the cake you just have a mound of frosting no structure. It would be like building a house on sand without a cement slab as your foundation. Follow up is the key. You've heard it probably 1 million times “the fortune is in the follow up”. We've heard it so many times because it's true. When somebody orders your product or services the first thing you need to find out is, why are they ordering your products or services. What result are they looking to achieve? Then find out how serious are they about achieving those results. I like to use a scale of 1 to 10. One meaning they're not very serious at all about achieving that result, it would be nice if it happens but they're not going to do anything to make it happen. 10 is they are deadly serious and they will do whatever it takes to achieve that result. This will let you know how to follow up with them. If they are anything below a seven, chances are you're going to be going into convincing mode to get them to take the product or use your service on any type of consistent basis. Follow up is a lot easier if they are at least a seven or higher. Now here's how you're going to follow up, this only takes a couple of minutes by the way: You're going to follow up with them on day 1, day 2, day 3, day 5, day 7, week 2 and week 4, in time for your re-order. Sidenote, it depends on how quickly your company processes the orders and ships the products out. You may want to adjust that week 4 follow up to a week 3 if you know it's going to take a week for your company to actually get the product to your customer. Here's all you're going to ask your customer with every follow-up call you make and this could also be done through a text or Facebook messenger, but it has to be done. The first follow up call you have with them, you're going to walk them through how to use the products or service. Set them up for success based upon the goal they gave you. Every follow up call after that, all you're going to say is “how did you use the products today or yesterday?” That's it. I will guarantee you no matter how simple your products or services are to use, you'll find that nine times out of 10 your customer is not using them 100% correctly. Now you may think that they'll be sick of you checking in on them so often, but they won't, what they will realize is that you actually really do care about the results that they get. You weren't just interested in closing the sale, getting the commissions. You really are interested in their well-being. That intern will yield you a very loyal customer. They will be more open to looking at any other products that you sell. Now by following up with them like this, and again this is for your distributors / teammates and your customers. They're all customers, it guarantees that they will get the results that they are after, because you are hand holding them and encouraging them every step of the way. Now what do people do if they're getting great results? They re-order! They don't want to stop getting the great results that they're getting. On the second month and for every month there after, you can check in on them once a week or once every other week once your business gets to be too large to get in touch with everyone every week, just to see how they're doing and how they’re using the products. As you build your loyal customer base, they will also send you referrals. Unless they are already on your team, and by the way, by you following up like this with your distributors, people on your team, you're teaching them what to do with their customers and distributors. Therefore you are building loyal customers deep within your organization. That is your true residual income my friend. I'll tell you a story, there was one customer I had a few years ago. I was selling a weight loss system at the time, and my business was growing rapidly. I was in 34 countries, was approaching 20,000 distributors on my team and my follow up with my customers was not as on point as it should've been. I received a text from a lady who said “this product doesn't work, I have gained 8 pounds in the past three weeks”. Now I knew the product worked. I had helped people loose anywhere from their last 5 pounds on up to 640 pounds, so I knew the product worked. I knew that it had to of been user error and it was my fault because I dropped the ball and didn’t follow up with her. Not only was she not going to re-order, she was going to return the product, so I gave her a call. After listening to her tell me about how the products don’t work and how much weight shed gained, I asked, “so Betty, how have you been using the product?”. She said “I have been using it just like you told me to, two shakes a day and one sensible meal”. I said “okay, that’s great Betty, let's go through step-by-step how you're preparing your shake and what your meal consists of”. She said “well I can tell you the shake tastes amazing when I blend it up with chocolate milk”. LOL Long story short she was preparing her shake with 24oz whole fat chocolate milk, and having a massive meal at night. I fixed and refined her. Made sure I followed up with her consistently and she ended up losing the 28 pounds that she initially wanted to lose. Betty went on to be a very loyal customer and ordered many of the other products that I sold at the time. So this is an example of me not following up on a consistent basis and somebody who not only was she not going to ever order the products ever again, but chances are, she was going to return them. And after a five minute phone call with her we fixed and refined her and she went on to have success and become a loyal customer. So was this helpful? Did you get value from this episode? 24:19Is Your Excitement Turning Into Frustration? Episode #24 Hello my Network Marketing friend. We all start our Network Marketing career with the same level of enthusiasm. When we first get started in the industry we are so excited! We're like a kid in the candy store or an excited puppy, only not peeing everywhere… When we first get started, the possibilities seem endless! We have big dreams and big goals. We anxiously await for our first product order to arrive. We have high hopes that this business will bring us the time and financial freedom we have always always desired. The first week we get started we're getting acclimated to the products, the tools, our support team, the income producing activities, and everything and anything that our support team tells us to read, watch, or do. Then we talk to the first person we know, chances are they're positive because, although we are excited, we are super nervous, so we start with an easy sale. We reach out to the closest person to us because we know they will just order anything that we want them to, no matter what it is. Lol. However, the next handful of people we reach out to, they aren't so positive. They start saying things such as: “Why are you doing that thing?” “You don't know anything about running your own business.” “Haven't you tried one of those things before?” “No one ever has success in those things.” “It's a pyramid.” “It's a get rich quick scheme.” “You're not a sales person.” “Why don't you look into getting a real job?” “Only the people at the top make money.” You catch my drift. LOL You name it I have heard it all before. When I was first starting out in the industry 27 years ago, I heard all the negatives. I even had my own family members, for years, even when I started to have real success, like solid five figures a month coming in, I still had family members ask me when I was going to get a real job and why am I doing that thing, it's a scam. People say these things not because they want to hurt us, or even discourage us, they say them because they think they know the Network Marketing Industry, but the just don’t. The thing is, it's such an inexpensive, easy way to start a simple to build business, no experience or college degree required (thank God), with unlimited potential, you can be from Yale or Jail. Because of this, countless amount of people have tried building a network marketing business. And I use the word “TRY” very loosely. (I’m doing air quotes right now) Often times people who say “I've tried one of those things before, they don't work, only the people at the top make money”, well the truth is, they didn’t really try. They didn't connect with their support team. They didn't use the tools. They didn't reach out to enough people. They weren’t consistent. They didn't put in the time or effort that's needed in order to build the type of business they were hoping to build. Before I get into why I am saying all this, I wanted to tell you about the free gift I have waiting for you over on spspcommunity.com - it’s the ultimate home business success guide with the 7 insider tips that will help you build the successful Network Marketing business you really want to have so you and your children can live the life you truly deserve. Go grab it…not right this second, but after this episode LOL - pop over to www.spspcommunity.com So why am I saying all of this? Well I go back to my original point. When we get started, we are so excited! The sky is the limit! The world is our oyster, until we start shucking those oysters expecting to find a pearl, and all we find is sand, grit and slime… over and over and over again that it becomes understandable, heck, even justifiable to think “well I guess they must all be right, these things really don't work, I don't know how to run my own business, I guess it’s true, only the people at the top make the money”…and so on and so on and so on. Here's the thing. The fact of the matter is thousands upon thousands upon thousands of people all around the world are having and experiencing levels of financial success and time freedom that to levels so high that 99% of the worlds population could never wrap their heads around that level of success. They are all walks of life. They’re with various Network Marketing companies. Selling various products. Selling various services. Different types of compensation plans. They have different backgrounds and experience. Some got started when the company just got started. Some got started when the company was 15 years old and there are hundreds, if not thousands of people between them and the company in the lineage. The decades upon decades upon decades of success in our industry, automatically proves that most of the negative things we hear from people, who just don't understand, are wrong… 100% wrong. The other negative things such as: “you don't know what you're doing” “you don't know the first thing about running your own business”… Those are all learned abilities. The key is make sure you connect and latch on to your support team. Find those people, in your company, that have the lifestyle that you want and find out exactly what it is that they do. Believe me they will share it with you because it's in their best interest for you to have massive amounts of success. There isn't a single leader out there, well, a true leader, a servant driven leader, who will ever keep what it is that they do to achieve their success, a secret. Find out what it is that they do, don't question it, and do a lot of it. Now, if you are doing what you need to be doing, consistently, and you're STILL not having success, you are sucking those oysters only to find more sand, grit and dirt over and over and over again and the thoughts of quitting start to creep into your mind and you are no longer having fun, then it is time to call and connect with your up line support team for a fix and refine session . This is where you're going to go through with them your activities for that day, that week, the previous week, and the week before that. You’re going to go through with them: The conversations that you've had. The messages that you've sent. The follow ups you've done. How often have you followed up? What messages have you sent? What tools are you using? They will be able to pinpoint one, two, or several areas where you're off just 1 or 2 degrees. Sometimes it’s just fixing and refining the little things that make the BIG difference. Pretty soon you'll be shucking those oysters and you will get Pearl after Pearl after Pearl after Pearl. It's through the repetition and consistency of doing the correct income producing activities, the right way, every day that is going to produce the outcome that you are looking for. The financial freedom AND the time freedom. Don't quit! Are you going to get frustrated? Absolutely! Are there times where you're going to think of quitting? Absolutely! If the thought of quitting doesn't enter your brain fairly often, you're not doing enough of the right income producing activities. LOL I'll close with this: Everybody always has an opinion. Everyone always has advice. The key is: Only listen to the opinions and take the advice from people who have the lifestyle, not just the money, but the entire package, the whole lifestyle, that you desire for you and your family. And remember this, what you're desiring for you and your family has been put on your heart, no one else’s. Therefore no one else can give you advice on how you can get to where you want to go. It's your dream, your desire, your goal, therefore you have the ability within you to reach it, otherwise that desire would not have been put on your heart. Now that doesn't guarantee that you're going to achieve it. You could be given a very grandiose desire, but if you binge on Netflix every day it's never going to fulfill the desire that's been put on your heart. Don't let the naysayers steal your dreams. I can tell you from experience, you could be earning over $1 million a year, and you will still have naysayers. You will still have people asking you: “Why don't you get a real job?” “Why are you involved in that scam?” “Why are you part of a pyramid?” Your job is not to debate, or convince them that they are wrong, because they are, your job is to put one foot in front of the other in the direction of your goals, dreams and desires. DON’T QUIT. Take a breath. Look at your activities. Be honest with yourself about what you are doing to build your business. Are you busy with busy work, or are you busy with doing the right income producing activities. If you are, then call, text, email, DM, send a note via carrier pigeon, or send a smoke signal to your support team requesting a Fix and Refine Session. I promise you after having this session with them, he will see where you can fix and refine. It could be a lot that you have to fix and refine, or it could just be a little bit, but being a little bit off will completely shift your business in the wrong direction. It isn't any different than a pilot flying an airplane. If we are flying from here, California, to go see my daughter TAYLOR in New York city, and the pilot set the course just slightly off, maybe even just 1 or 2 degrees, instead of ending in New York City we could end in Quebec, or North Carolina. Being even a little bit off adds up to a lot, but not to worry, your upline support team is there to help you. Take advantage of their expertise and their experience. So was this helpful? 18:36Is Network Marketing right for you? Episode #23 Is Network Marketing right for you? Answer is…Who in the heck knows… What I do know and can tell you are the attributes, or qualifications if you will, that you need to posses in order to have any hope of having success in this industry. Based on that, you’ll then know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, if Network Marketing is right for you and if you are right for Network Marketing. Before I get into that, I wanted to tell you about the free gift I have waiting for you over on spspcommunity.com - it’s the ultimate home business success guide with the 7 insider tips that will help you build the successful Network Marketing business you really want to have so you and your children can live the life you truly deserve. Go grab it…not right this second, but after this episode LOL - pop over to www.spspcommunity.com Now, let’s get down to it! I have been in the Network Marketing industry since I was 22 and 1 week old. I am now 49. You can do the math. LOL These 3 qualifications were taught to me when I first started and continuously throughout my 27 year career so far. It doesn’t matter what company you’re with. What product you sell. What service you provide, or what country you are based out of. These 3 qualifications are an absolute must, if you are looking to have a successful network marketing career. The first one is A Burning Desire - you MUST have a burning desire to change the way things currently are. If you don’t, you won’t do what is necessary to have success. This is more than having your “why”. Having a “why” is great, but you need more than that. If you haven’t identified your Driving Force by doing the Seven Levels Deep exercise, I highly recommend you do it. The PDF download and the episode can be found on www.spspcommunity.com/podcast scroll to episode 12 - How to become unstoppable & unwavering. In every area of your live, not just in your Network Marketing business. You have to be at a place where you can’t stand the way things are, not for one more day, not for one more min. You are done! For things to change you have to change and for things to get better, you have to get better. You are sick and tired of being sick and tired. For me, my moment of disgust was when I was in the grocery store with my daughters years ago. My ex husband had left and took everything. I wasn’t even making enough to pay the mortgage at that time. —You know when you’re in the grocery store, you almost always hear kids ask their parent for something. I never could understand when the parent would say “no, I can’t afford it” I understand saying “no”, but saying “I can’t afford it” when what their child was asking for was just a couple of dollars, well, this day - I was in the grocery store with my daughters, Vons, here in Thousand Oaks. Taylor, she asked if we could get Tree Top apple juice. It was 2 big bottles, tied together with that plastic cap thing. The 2 bottles were on sale for $5. I didn’t have the $5 to spare. Right then and there, I understood how those parents could say, “no, I can’t afford it”. Now I never uttered those words to Taylor, I just told her “not this time LoveBug, maybe next time” That sick, burning gut feeling enraged me. In my head, while we were in that grocery store, I said, “that’s it, not another day, not another min are we living like this” I started putting all of my efforts on the distributorship I had at that time and increased my commissions from $4,700 to $21,000 in 3 months and I have never looked back. I swore that I would never be in that position again and I haven’t. So #1 is Burning Desire 2nd Qualification is - Willingness to work - We hear of a lot of people making ridiculous amounts of money in Network Marketing, so you know it’s possible, but I can tell you, first hand, it takes a lot of work. Building this business is VERY Simple, but it is not easy. You get out of it, what you put into it. If you treat it like a hobby, it’s going to pay you like a hobby, well, as with most hobbies, it will probably end up costing you money. The key here is, make sure the work you do is your income producing activities. Often times, we get done with our day and we feel as though we were busy all day, yet we didn’t actually get anything accomplished. Without working hand in hand with your upline support team, and being focused on what you want to achieve and how are you going to get it, it is easy to fill your days with busy work. Next thing you know, you’re network marketing business isn’t growing, but you’re putting in all of these hours, so you think this just isn’t working and you quit. Be focused on what rank you want to reach and what monthly residual income you want to earn and work backwards. Figure out how many customers and how many team members you need to attain that goal. If you don’t know, your upline support team will. They will also tell you what you need to do to get there. Which leads me into Qualification #3 - Be Teachable . This is true when you first get started in the industry, but it holds true until you die. Never Ever stop learning. Every single person I know, who’s net worth is over $10,000,000, invest in themselves everyday by learning or studying something that makes them better. The success isn’t in the learning, however. People say Knowledge is Power… respectfully, they are wrong. The Power is the in the application of the Knowledge. Your success is in the application of what you learn. Side Note: Make sure you are learning from people who have the lifestyle you are wanting. Those are the people you need to listen to and do what they say to do. Don’t question it, just do it and do a lot of it. I have built 7 successful, multi million dollar distributorships with 7 different companies during my 27 year career. My mentors were and are the greatest networkers of all time. I was extremely lucky to be able to learn from the best of the best, like Larry Thompson, Jim Fobair, Jay Bennet, the late Jim Rohn, Ray Higdon, John Melton, Brynn Lang, just to name a few. They make or have made countless of millions of dollars in our industry. And although I only went to community college for 2 weeks, I am actually a very good student. When I attended or attend any training that these guys do, I take notes as if it was the very first time I’m hearing them say it. The truth is, I’ve probably heard it dozens, if not hundreds of times, I can even write their sentences down before they are finished saying it sometimes, but like Bob Protor teaches, you don’t learn by reading something once, or hearing it once, it’s through repetition that it becomes part of you, part of your DNA and changes your paradigm. It then becomes your norm. The 3 Qualifications are: #1. Burning Desire - to change the way things are #2. Have the Willingness to Work #3. Be Teachable. So, if you have all 3, congratulations, Network Marketing is for you! So was this helpful? Did you get value from this episode? I’d love to hear from you. 51:06Best way to Win in 2023 - Interview with Jeff Weisberg - “The Hero of Network Marketing” Episode #22 Well I have a very special treat for us for all of us. We are kicking our year off with advice and wisdom from a dear friend of mine Jeff Weisberg. He is an entrepreneur, a dad, a life changer, influencer, travel enthusiast, and the hero of network marketing. Jeff's career, in this industry, began when he was 19 years old and you name it, he’s been through it. When his 2 boys were 4 and 6, he became a single dad with 100% custody. He went from being able to travel the world building his business, to being a full-time mom and dad. Jeff quickly learned how to adjust and build his business in and around his new lifestyle. Jeff, just like myself and many of you, wanted to be a hands on dad, but also had to financially provide for his family. He figured it out. He was able to volunteer at his children's school. Coach 26 different teams. Took his boys to and from school. Plus build a multi million dollar, international Network Marketing company with his teams exceeding 250,000 people and impacting millions. Jeff’s children are now about the same age as mine, they're in their twenties and super successful. In fact, his youngest son, Josh and Taylor my oldest daughter were born a day apart at the same hospital. So Jeff was actually in my delivery room for a little while, so we go way back. LOL We are going to talk about mindset and what it really takes to have an impact on people around the world. The impact starts first at home, with our own family and to be able live the life that we and our children truly deserve. Here’s the transcript of the interview… Jeff Weisberg: Thanks Sam appreciate being on here and good morning, good afternoon, good evening wherever you guys might be listening in from. I live in Sarasota Florida but now I am in Oxnard, California, it's kind of an interesting situation. My parents are getting older. They're not doing too well. Because of network marketing I always learned early in my career, you build your business around your lifestyle. Not your lifestyle around your business. That mindset has made it possible for me to turn a three-week trip into three months so I can be here, taking care of them. Thanks for having me on. It's a pleasure. Yeah I've known Sam for a long long time. I remember when she and my ex-wife were in the hospital together a day apart. My son her daughter and literally their rooms were right next to each other pretty funny and then they ended up meeting each other in high school. And through talking through friends they realized who they actually were and didn't even know it when they heard the story. They couldn't believe it! Such a small world. I love what you're doing with the Single Parent SuperPower I mean I'll tell you my story real quick. I started the industry when I was 19 years old got involved with a company called Amway everybody's probably heard of them. You know, growing up. My dad was very successful in the life insurance business and taught me go to school get good grades and have your own business. He taught me about residual income and I learned about life insurance, but it didn't really turn me on then, obviously now I'm older I think about it differently but didn't really turn me on that much then as a career, but residual income did. A friend of mine took me in September of 1979 to an Amway meeting here in California at the Civic Center and I walked into this meeting. I'm nineteen years old and these guys are all dressed in suits and ties and there's a chalkboard, the old days when they used chalk. They're drawing these circles and talking about duplication and residual income. I went home that night and I was looking up on the ceiling. All I saw was circles and I said “wow!”, but really it wasn't the money it was more the lifestyle. I saw the lifestyle these people had and that night I drank the kool-aid and boom, I was all in! I was going to college, and doing somewhat decent with Amway. I then soon got involved with a company called Old World. Dropped out of college. Had some more success there. Met a gentleman named Ken Makovic who, at 21 years old now, took me under his wings. I learned a bunch of things. Unfortunately that company didn't really make it. Then I got involved with Herbalife, here in Southern California, there I had an opportunity to spend time, personal time and met Mark Hughs and Larry Thompson and I'm a now 23 year old kid and boom, I mean it exploded! I was blessed and became one of the top 50 in the world in Herbalife in the early 1980’s. I had my own airplanes, cars, traveling. I'm taking the concord going to London and I was just rolling. Huge success but then Herbalife had some issues and again. Nobody thought those things would happen. We think it's just going to go well, like this in network marketing. Nothing goes always goes well and continues to grow, network marketing or not. It kind of took a crash and I had gotten out of the industry from 1985 till about 1992. I got out of network marketing. I was kind of discouraged that my dream was gone. Then I got back into the business with a friend of mine who's probably, if not the top, he’s one of the top all time earners in the history of network marketing around the world. He's still with that company. He's been involved with them for thirty plus years. I went over to Europe with him and got back in the industry and just went to town and have pretty much been in it ever since. I've had my own company. I've consulted for companies. Been a distributor. Supplied companies. You name it. I just feel that the industry, it's changed a lot, but the industry for a person, part-time to make a huge income part time or the above average person to make an above average income is great. You know the concepts that people are learning and the things like I've learned early in my career, when we didn't have all this technology, I mean it's still crazy for me. I'm 62 years young and to be able to sit here stare at a laptop computer in California for free on wi-fi. You know Sam's on the other side and people all over the world get to hear this for free! Where when I started back in 1979, it was suits and ties a telephone that you walk around, forget about. Internet what's internet? I can run my business and my life right here I mean this phone right here does more than what computers did in the white house fifty years ago. It's just mind boggling and so technologies change the industry but the concepts are the same. During that time, I became a single parent like Sam had said. My boys were four and a half and six. I had my business going. Things were going well. I ended up becoming a full-time dad and you know sometimes you're not ready for things that hit you in life. I had to step it up. You know I had to start drinking all this kool-aid of all the personal growth and the positive attitude and for things to change you have to change for things to get better. You have to get better. I had to look in the mirror and say “Jeff, I guess now it's time to step it up”. My focus was my boys so I had to learn how to delegate my time and time management. And like I said earlier, I learned early in my career that you want to build your business around your lifestyle. Not your lifestyle around your business. My boys were I focus and I had to learn to delegate and I had to learn time management and I had to step it up. In the morning I helped them get ready and when they were in school, I worked the business. I got them home, coached sports teams like Sam said because that was important to me. It wasn't the money, it was a lifestyle and then when they'd go to bed I'd get back on the phones (You know obviously they weren't these phones they were the kind of phones that you couldn't walk too far because they were connected to a wall) and built the business and have been blessed. Now I've been to 51 countries. Built businesses around the world. My son's traveled internationally with me as well as well as domestically with me now they're 23 and 24. My younger son lives in Miami doing fintech sales. He went to the University of Miami. My older son's a cpa which is pretty funny because in that story I didn't tell I dropped out of college to do amway full-time. He's now a cpa living in san diego and, you know I'm blessed and it's because of the industry and because of things I learned early in my career from guys like Ken Makovic, Larry Thompson and others as well as what I learned from my father obviously as a very young man. Samantha Gamble: Yeah it's so true. Well you look at my children. Taylor graduated from Ucla lives in Manhattan, NY now and is a Biotech recruiter. Danielle's in her third year at Chapman and you know our stories are so similar. If it wasn't for the network marketing industry, God knows how our children would have turned out. Being that hands-on parent I think is so crucial and so important and that's why I've developed the SPSP Community as well as the Single Parent SuperPower Podcast, because I was reflecting that it was such a luxury that we were able to financially provide for our families but yet also be that stay at home parent. It was a win-win scenario that most people think to provide for your family, especially as a single parent, you have to go out get a job, which nothing wrong with that at all, but the single parent guilt is real. You want to be home with your family and through network marketing is the best way and the easiest way to do that. We talked earlier, before we started recording, about strategies and tactics and the how tos and the here's what you need to do and all of that stuff. What you said was pretty profound. It is really not the how to stuff or the step-by step stuff. Why don't you talk about that because that always changes. But what is our real job? What do we need to have control over? What do we have to do to have the type of success, even half the amount of success that you've had, which everyone would be happy with. Jeff Weisberg: Well I mean that's a great question Sam I think you know number 1 is people kind of get all tied up into where do I go? What do I do? What do I say? You know I learned early in my career from Larry Thompson - concepts stay constant techniques change -. If you spend a lot of time learning how to do a fax blast (back in the day), or how to work an auto dialer or how to run ads in the newspaper nobody does that anymore. I mean some of your audience probably doesn't even know what a fax machine is I remember when the fax machine came out and I said wow you could take a sheet of paper and put it through and on the other end it can come out the person can see it. I know I sound stupid saying that today because you can do it in 2 seconds but that's what it's like. So if you get focused on all those techniques imagine if you spent a lot of time learning about myspace? Where's myspace today? People get hooked on what do I say on Facebook, or Instagram, or snapchat, or Tiktok, or Linkedin. Those are the current kind of things people are using. 5 years from now those are all going to be like myspace. I mean who in your audience uses myspace today, but I know plenty of people that learned about it. Google adwords is another one. They try to learn all these techniques. At the end of the day you have to learn the fundamentals which are applicable to any product. Any service. Any company. Any country. Learn the fundamentals that can be used in network marketing or out of network marketing. I've taken a lot of these things I learned in millionaire training, for example, and used it outside of network marketing because I think most people today are trying to figure out, “well, how do I do a Facebook live and is the lighting good back here and is my hair okay”, which I get concerned about often does it look okay? Do I have to buff up my bald head? 😄 Samantha Gamble: Your hair looks amazing by the way it does looks amazing. 😆 Jeff Weisberg: Is the lighting good? What's the background like? What am I wearing? What do I say? They get all concerned and all of that means nothing. At the end of the day, all you have to have is: #1 A burning desire. That's the first thing. People have to want it. You to have be hungry number. #2 Willingness to work. I mean you know the only place success comes before work is in the dictionary unless you win the lottery or you're from the lucky sperm club and you end up inheriting a bunch of money. Last time I checked, it takes some work. #3 Be teachable. I believe that ahead of us people have done what we want. They've already made the mistakes and they've made the errors. So do I want to sit here and go spend hours trying to figure it out on my phone or the internet, or do I want to find somebody like you, Sam who's got a system in place that I can just plug and play and learn from because you spent the time, the money, the effort to develop it. So I've been blessed to have great mentors. A mentor can lead you through because he or she's at the other end already so he or she knows where there's the fork in the road. Where there's the hole in the road, or where there's a stop sign. Most people today don't want to get the coach to help them work out. They don't want to get the coach for the mindset. They don't want to get the coach to help them with their business, their daily method of operation. They want to try to do it themselves. My dad used to tell me, “a wise man learns from the mistakes of others and a fool learns from his own or her own” . I think mindset's important. I don't think it matters where you came from. I think it matters where you're going. I mean I'm a dropped out of college to do network marketing and I have a son who's a cpa. I don't even know how to balance my own checkbook and this kid's a cpa, so it doesn't matter what your past is, your future and where you want to go is the only thing that matters. Think about it. You have people today that are not just Billionaires, their net worth is one hundred or two hundred billion and a billion is a thousand million! I mean the abundance of money is out there today and the abundance of resources out there today is unbelievable. Some people think that if I win you lose. You know if you win I lose no, there's abundance everywhere. You can have what you want but you have to see it here. Bob Proctor , another mentor of mine, used to always talk about the paradigm shift. He used to say if you can see it in your mind you can see it your hand. Everything we have whether it's this iphone that somebody thought of, the laptop or pc you're on, a can of sparkling water, these glasses, anything and everything was thought before it was here. Network marketing isn’t any different. You have to see where you want to go with your product or service. You have to see where you want to go financially and then you have to book in when you're going to do it. It's a simple business. It's not easy, but none of these businesses are easy. Sometimes we get all wrapped up into this “oh network marketing is easy”. No, it's simple. It's not easy. People also wonder if they can do it part time. Yes, you can, but it depends what you're doing part time. Time management's the key. Am I going through social media to see what everybody else is doing or am I posting on social media. Am I organizing my desk and my shelves and dusting off my warehouse or am I making phone calls. Am I sending out emails. Am I sending text messages. Today the business with technology, Sam is so much easier than the old days. We used to mail stuff to people. I know some people don't use mail anymore. We used to send you the product. I'd have to go to the post office send it to you, wait untill you got it. I'm going to send you a video. Send it to you and wait until you get it. Today, in 2 seconds I can literally go in in 10 minutes, text twenty friends with a link to my product, service or company and so all the techniques are going to change. I don't know people here if they're familiar with what the metaverse is you know Facebook changed their name to meta the virtual world that's coming. You know the virtual reality glasses and all that ar vr I mean that's the future. People are going to be living in this outer space virtual reality, the metaverse and it's already starting so Facebook, it's going to be my space. Why do you think they changed their name, I mean Mark Zuckerberg is no Dummy. You know Instagram, snapchat, Tiktok, that's all going to pass. You know the thing that Wayne Gretzky used to say is “the reason I'm the greatest hockey player of all time is I didn't see the where it is, I anticipated where the puck was going”. I need to know where the puck's going in order to get the puck and the goal. Same thing in life. Don't look at what happened in the past, focusing on myspace and learning Facebook is stupid. Where are we going tomorrow and the next day and I think people get caught up, like you said, in the in the the techniques versus the the concepts. Because concepts like, I said stay constant techniques change. Samantha Gamble: True. You're absolutely right. I mean I look at how I did the business before. We did the home parties. I put flyers on cars. I was the queen of three way calls. I was the 3 way master. But because I was working my business in around my kids, I couldn't travel all the time. I couldn't go to people's homes and do home parties. I couldn't do it, so I did three-way calls and now it's Facebook group chat. So the activity is still the same so our job is still to talk to people, expose people that's it. How we do it is going to change next year from what it is today. Last year on Tiktok, people were having their reels go viral. They would wake up and they would have a ton of customer orders. That's a thing of the past already and that was just last year. I remember there was a story, you and I both had the same mentor Larry Thompson, and when you were in Herbalife, you were doing really well. You had your plane and everything, you were making a ton of money, but it was flat. You weren't increasing and you wanted to go to the next level and you got frustrated. You called Larry to get some...…

29:03If you had an unwavering amount of confidence, how would that impact your life? #21 If you had an unwavering amount of confidence, how would that change your life? I have asked a handful of people in our community this question and here were their responses: Kelli - Take greater relationship risks Lisa - I would fire my boss and build my network marketing business full-time Beth - Start more businesses Christopher - It would be an immense change to my life Rochelle - I would say yes more often Margie - It would help me accomplish some personal goals I’ve had for some time Jill - It would make my social and professional life so much better Kim - I would be a lot less depressed about the world around us Vicki - I would lead better at work and home, improve communication Carole - It would lower my anxiety greatly and improve my level of trust in many things As you can see, having total confidence is a game changer. How would your life improve if you had a new level of confidence? The foundation of your success is believing in yourself. We have talked before about visualizing your future self. Last week on episode 20, we talked about perspective and how to change it in 2 steps and one of those steps was visualizing what your future would look like in great detail. Confidence is the true belief that you really can accomplish and achieve what you are visualizing. Sounds easy enough, right?… Well, unfortunately confidence doesn’t just kick in automatically when we summon it, especially when we are trying something new. Sounds like a catch 22 doesn’t it? Confidence is the foundation of our success, yet, we don’t naturally just have confidence, especially when doing something new, like building a Network Marketing business. So how can you GET the confidence you need to have the success you desire for you and your children? Before I get into that, I wanted to tell you about the free gift I have waiting for you over on spspcommunity.com - it’s the ultimate home business success guide with the 7 insider tips that will help you build the successful Network Marketing business you really want to have so you and your children can live the life you truly deserve. Go grab it…not right this second, but after this episode LOL - pop over to www.spspcommunity.com So how can you GET the confidence you need to have the success you desire for you and your children? Well, there is something that comes before confidence. That something is Courage. It will take courage to give you the nudge, the push you need to do what you have to do to get the results you want. Now, to muster up the courage, you have to be crystal clear on why you are doing what you are doing. What is worth the effort? What is it that is worth you getting outside of your comfort zone? If you haven’t done so yet, go through the 7 Levels to Uncover Your Driving Power. It’s episode 12 How to become unstoppable. It’s deeper than your “why”, much deeper. It is what you will need to have the courage to do what’s necessary, to take the uncomfortable action and get outside of your comfort zone. Here’s the great news… You will only have to use courage to push through, with anything new, just a few times before your confidence will kick it. Once it does kick in, you will be unwaveringly confident. The more you do this, the quicker your confidence will build in all areas of your life. Confidence in building your network marketing business will then build your Commitment. Your commitment level is something that your team as well as your prospects can sense. Commitment acts like a magnet. It will attract the people you want and repel the ones you don’t. You have chosen the company you are with for a good reason. Our very first episode goes through the 8 check list items to go through to ensure you are with the right company for you. If you haven’t gone through those, I highly encourage you to do so. Once you have made sure you are with the right company for you, then commit! Get in line and stay in line. Don’t get shiny object syndrome. When you are building a network marketing business, I can tell you that there is a good chance people in your upline will quit. There’s a good chance people in your downline will quit. It will make you want to quit. Don’t! Don’t let anyone hold your dream or you hostage just because their commitment level is low. Your dreams have been planted in you for a reason. Your gifts you’ve been given aren’t for you! They are for you to share. There are for other people. To live the life you truly desire for you and your children and to have a positive impact on the lives of others you must first have the Courage to learn, try and do something new which will then turn into unwavering Confidence. That confidence will then solidify your Commitment. Your level of commitment will attract the right people to you. The result…is a successful network marketing business that will pay you week after week, month after month and year after year for the rest of your life. It all starts with having the Courage to take the first step. All of the episodes I made mention of can be found by visiting www.spspcommunity.com/podcast . So was this helpful? 17:19Want to Speed Up Your Results? #20 There is 1 thing that will create real speed in your business and it’s probably not what you think. It’s not the latest and greatest system, or a way to get qualified leads, or the new social media algorithm…it’s your perspective. It’s where you spend the majority of your time in your mind. Perspective is the amount of time you spend in a position or a thought - Here’s an Example of having a negative perspective - “this is hard” “I look stupid” “I can’t do this” “I’m stuck” “I’m overwhelmed” You can Change your perspective in 2 steps Before I go through the 2 steps, I wanted to tell you about the free gift I have waiting for you over on spspcommunity.com - it’s the ultimate home business success guide with the 7 insider tips that will help you build the successful Network Marketing business you really want to have so you and your children can live the life you truly deserve. Go grab it…not right this second, but after this episode LOL - pop over to www.spspcommunity.com Now, here’s how to Change your perspective in 2 steps #1 - Change how you describe it - Example - Instead of “I look stupid” say “I’m not going to notice my missteps” Instead of “I can’t do this” say “I’m not going acknowledge or recognize my feeling of lack or not good enough” Instead of “I’m stuck (or overwhelmed)” say “I’m not going to give energy to the feelings of being stuck (or overwhelmed)” Note: We are so conscientious about how we talk to others, We are even nice to complete strangers in the grocery store, yet, for some reason, we do not extend that same curtesy to ourselves. We would never tell someone “you’re not good enough, you should just quit, you can’t do this, you look stupid” Yet, we tell ourselves negative statements all the time. That has to stop… NOW! Our Self Talk is incredibly important, especially when shifting your perspective. Your self talk also cues people in on how to treat you. You’ll find, if you are very negative with yourself and hard on yourself, you’ll most likely attract people who won’t treat you the way you want to be treated, why, because they are getting their cues from you. Look back at your past relationships, you’ll see the pattern. I know I sure do. Every guy I dated and even the one I married, cheated on me and was abusive. I thought my “picker” was just broken. Turns out, they were all taking their cues on how to treat me from how I treated myself. My friend, this took me decades to understand. Please don’t let it take you another minute. You are an awesome, amazing person who deserves nothing but the best in all areas of your life. Okay…moving on… #2 - this is the magic…Pour speed onto where you want to be by Visualizing yourself there - doing it - having the result you want - the success you want - the Experiences you want - So, what is it that you want from your network marketing career? I mean what do you really really want if there wasn’t anything holding you back, the Sky’s the limit…What is it? Once you are crystal clear on that, I mean 1000% clear, then ask yourself - What would it look like? - What’s the rank? How many people will be on your team? How many customers will you have? What’s the residual income? How much do you want to make every month, every year? Next, ask yourself: How will I know it’s true? Would people recognize your accomplishment’s? Maybe your upline and your company would congratulate you on your accomplishments. Maybe your team would be seeing tremendous success themselves. Maybe you would know it’s true because your family would be so proud of you. Is there a big bonus you’d receive by achieving what you really really want? Maybe an award and they’d present it to you at the next large convention. Maybe you would know it’s true because for the first time in years and years, you don’t feel the financial stress. You check your mail regularly, versus ignoring it because you know there’s bills in there that you can’t pay. Now you check your mail and pay your bills on time, every time without having to juggle which bill you pay this month and which bill can wait until next month. You go to the grocery store and buy what you want versus just what you need and you don’t buy just the items that are on sale. Last question to ask yourself: How would that make me feel? Would it feel, Empowering! Freeing! Like the shackles have finally come off! - That’s how I felt and I can’t wait for you to feel that too! There is nothing like it. Especially when you are at your company’s biggest convention of the year and you look around the room and realize that most of the people there are in your organization. It’s enough to give you goosebumps and bring tears to your eyes. Would you feel such a tremendous amount of relief and satisfaction? Be overcome by a tremendous amount of gratitude and appreciation for your team and family. Would your heart be full? Now, here’s what you do. Before going to sleep - take a couple minutes every night and go through Step 1 and Step 2 Step 1 - Change how you talk about your current circumstances - Change the language. Example: “I am not stuck. I have a clear vision and focus. I have positive momentum in all areas of my life and I am helping thousands of people around the world live the life that they and their children deserve” Step 2 - Visualize every night - What would it look like? How will I know when I have it? How will that make me feel? Choose not to dip into that lack or negative mindset, move to the creation of what you want. Every continuous thought we have is a unit of energy. Therefore we gain energy by knocking out thoughts that don’t serve us because they occupy brain space. You either Release or Tackle your thoughts. Don’t hold onto the thoughts that will not serve you and where you want to be. MOST IMPORTANT - Create the memories of your future! See it Feel it Smell it Be it - Be in it It has happened - Use polarity only to create the perspective you want to live into, but don’t hang out with the negative, simply use it only as a comparison. So my friend, don’t dwell on the negative - don’t pay attention to the missteps. Speak as kindly to yourself as you do a stranger in the grocery store. And create the memories of your future. Be sure to do Steps 1 & 2 every night and you’ll be surprised how quickly things will click into place for you. So was this helpful? Did you get value from this episode? I’d love to hear from you. 21:56Episode 19 Are you jumping the gun on your close, or stalling out? How is your closing ratio? Are you reaching out to people, filling your pipeline, being postured as we covered last week and the week before in episodes 17 & 18? Yet, people are STILL not going your way? They’re still not joining or buying from you. Then it’s time to check your positioning. What I mean by this is, what position is your prospect in? Position 0 Cold market - you don’t know them, they don’t know you. Position 1 is someone who knows you. Position 2 is they are open to taking a look Position 3 is they watched, or went through your exposure tool (whatever you and your support team uses that grabs their attention) Position 4 is they like what they heard or saw and want to go to the next step. Position 5 you follow up and pop the question Position 6 go through the ordering / sign up process Position 7 have them go through your teams onboarding process Position 8 help them duplicate what you just did with them If you know how to drive a stick shift, you know you can’t go from 1st gear to 5th. It’s too big of a jump. Your engine will lag. You’ll be pressing the gas pedal and not going anywhere. You have go back down to 2nd gear and work your way up to 5th gear. This is the exact same thing. If you jump to position 5 without going through 1-4, your prospect will not be on the same page as you. You will come off as being spammy, desperate, pushy…nothing good will come out of it. They will not join or buy from you. Same goes for if you stay in one position for too long. If you’re getting on the freeway and you have your car still in 3rd gear, your engine will rev out and possibly blow a head gasket. Often times we get to position 3 and either never follow up, or keep giving them more and more videos to watch, posts to read, calls to tune into, etc. Never getting them to position 4, which is your ace in the hole by the way. No matter how positive they were, if you don’t stay on top of your follow up, or bombard them with information overload, you’re not moving them up in position and they will not join or buy from you. Let’s quickly break down each position: Before I do that, I wanted to tell you about the free gift I have waiting for you over on spspcommunity.com - it’s the ultimate home business success guide with the 7 insider tips that will help you build the successful Network Marketing business you really want to have. Go grab it…not right this second, but after this episode LOL - pop over to www.spspcommunity.com Position 0 - They don’t know you, you don’t know them. You have 2 options here: You can forge a genuine relationship with them. Get to know them. They get to know you. This takes quite a bit of time, especially to form a genuine connection, not just a “I’m getting to know you so I can pitch you” connection. You can cold marketing message them and jump to position 2. This is the only time it’s okay to skip a position. You can check out Episode 13 to learn how to do this effectively. Position 1 is simple - You have a relationship with them of some sort. They already know like and trust you. Position 2 you have sent them a message, or talked to them and asked them if they’d be open to taking a look at how you’re helping people make money through social media, or whatever it is for your company and give them an out- If not, no big deal at all. For the product you know that would help them, you’d ask them if they’d be open to checking out your product that will finally alleviate their joint pain, or whatever your product will do for themIf not, no big deal at all. Position 3 - every company has a different exposure tool, usually a video. When exposing a person to your opportunity, your video should be less than 15min, but longer than 5min. If it’s less than 5, they aren’t getting enough information to make Position #4 effective. You’ll end up going from Position 4 back to 3 again and giving them something else to review. Longer than 15 min, they won’t watch it and you’ll be caught the follow up trap of asking them if they’ve watched it yet. You’ll stall out in position 3. Once they have watched the video, immediately move to Position 4. Position 4 - this is where your support team comes in. Your support team are the 2, 3 or 4 people who are where you want to be with your company, or they are well on their way. You connect your prospect with them immediately following position 3. I highly recommend connecting them to your support team through Facebook messenger. It’s way easier than trying to line up and work around everyone’s schedule to connect on a 3 way call or a zoom. Make the introductions. Edify your support team to your prospect and then let them take the conversation away. 3rd party validation is priceless! (Check out episode 5 - don’t be a loan ranger - to learn how to identify and work efficiently with your support team) If you get your prospect to this position, your chances of getting them to buy or join you sky rocket! Which leads to Positions 5. Position 5 is where you ask them the ultimate question. If you went through all of the positions, you’d then give them the options to join and ask “Which option would you like to get started with, I got started with xyz because xyz reason (most value, better selection of products, etc)?”. By telling them which package you started with, that helps them decide how they should start. More often than not, they’ll do what you did. If they aren’t quite ready and have more questions, fall back to position 4. Position 6 Give them clear instructions on how to place their order. If need be, walk them through it on the phone. Not every company has an easy to navigate website and order process. You want to make this as easy of a process as possible without doing it for them. Always remember this pro tip: Every interaction with your prospect is doubling as their training. When they join your team, they will do the same thing with their prospects that you did with them…good or bad, so my strong advice is, follow a system. Use your tools. Go through the positions. Why, because it’s duplicatable. Position 7 help them go through the onboarding process. Don’t have them go through absolutely everything. They just need to know enough to get them into action. You and your support team will help fill in the gaps in the beginning. If they get bogged down learning all the ins and outs, they won’t get started and they’ll lose the momentum they had when they signed up. Which brings us to Position 8 - Help them duplicate the exact process you put them through. I like to help any new partner get a customer within the first 24hrs. Help them get into action. The best way to do this is for you to be very clear on what they want out of their new career with you and why they want it. Then ask them how serious are they about achieving that on a scale of 1-10. If they are an 8 or higher, they have just given you permission to help drive them into action and into success. Rinse and repeat my friend. Building a network marketing business is very simple. Don’t over complicate it. Just do the same thing day in and day out. Put people in position and moving them to the next position until they are duplicating you, or they tell you “no”. So was this helpful? Did you get value from this episode? I’d love to hear from you.
