Gene Baur is the founder of Farm Sanctuary, a place of rescue, refuge, and adoption for hundreds of farm animals each year. Farm Sanctuary shelters enable visitors to connect with farm animals as emotional, intelligent individuals. Gene has also led campaigns to change laws about animal treatment and taken undercover photographs of farms, stockyards, and slaughterhouses, documenting deplorable conditions. His pictures and videos exposing factory farming cruelties have aired nationally and internationally, educating millions about the plight of modern farm animals, and his rescue work inspired an international farm sanctuary movement. Once called “the conscience of the food movement” by Time magazine, Gene walks the walk and talks the talk when it comes to food and animal rights. Send Mo a text about this episode! I believe the Universe brings different people into my life at very specific times- and Juliana Fajardo came into my world at such a time. I met her in March 2020 at the beginning of the pandemic. We were gathering in an online space called "Stronger Together" and I was immediately drawn to her energy and her curiosity. We met in person in July of 2020- at the same time I first met my now partner, Tom Harrison. We have stayed in touch ever since and cultivated a lovely friendship. I really believe Juliana has a presence, voice and energy that needs to be heard by many. I believe she's a change agent- and I want more people to know her and learn from her. The way she talks about intuition and energy is approachable, clear and coming from a place of curiosity which is KEY. Kindred is ALSO the location for my upcoming retreat: Step Into Your Power in June 2025! I'm having Donna on the podcast because I love the community and space she is creating with intention. Her journey from being a teacher to starting her own business and having a studio is inspiring. It takes courage to follow your heart and take these risks. I had some ideas and fears that were stuck in my mind about ghosts, demons and spirits. All of these ideas/definitions and how I was "supposed" to feel about them were placed in my brain by tv shows, movies, the Catholic and Christian churches and people I had met along the way in my life. Facing this fear has brought me so much peace and its empowered me to take charge of my energy and realize what I'm capable of. In this episode I had the opportunity to ask Kai all of my burning questions! In this episode we talk about: -How Kai discovered her gifts. -Kai shares quite a few stories around how she has removed entities from people, places and things! -How YOU can do this yourself. -What you can do to clear your energy and develop your intuitive abilities. -How to find a mentor and discern who is the right mentor for you. The 411 on Kai: Kai is a Kahuna, which is the Hawaiian version of a shaman. She is an author, mentor, speaker, teacher, and energy healer. She has developed the ability to see, hear, feel, taste, and smell to receive information from the spirit realm. She has opened doorways for the dead to pass through and opened windows for the living to see the potential for their future. She has used energy to help those who wished to heal and for those who wanted to return to Source. Her strongest ability is seeing angels, ghosts, demons, and things she doesn’t have names for. With that ability, she can also see energy that is discordant with someone’s energy signature and transmute it or remove it and replace it with energy that is for that person’s highest good. Kai’s greatest strength is removing negative energy and entities from people, places, and things, allowing others to feel better, sleep better, and feel more secure in themselves and their homes.
