It’s Election Day in two states, where voters are prepared to cast their ballots for races that could shape the balance of power in Washington and have major ramifications for one state’s judicial system. In Florida, two vacancies in Congress have sparked special elections on April 1, and polling favors the Republican Party in both races. In the Wisconsin Supreme Court race, the election could determine if the court flips into conservative control. Former White House Press Secretary Ari Fleischer joins to explain why he is expecting positive outcomes for the GOP. President Trump's "reciprocal tariffs" are scheduled to kick in tomorrow on imports from any country that charges more than the United States. Pennsylvania Senate Republican Dave McCormick joins the Rundown to explain why he’s optimistic Americans will benefit from Trump’s tariff strategy in the long term. He also discusses the Trump tax cuts, his relationship with Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman, and what inspired the book he co-wrote with his wife, Dina Powell McCormick, “Who Believed In You: How Purposeful Mentorship Changes The World.” Plus, commentary from FOX News Digital columnist David Marcus. One of the two major issues President Trump ran his campaign on was a promise to secure the U.S. border from migrants--since the start of his second term, he has made that promise a significant part of his agenda. The Trump administration says it has paid off, significantly improving border issues that it says the Biden administration neglected. Some Americans wonder whether President Trump's tariffs on Canada and Mexico will have an effect on the border. Congressman Tony Gonzales (R-TX) joins the Rundown to discuss border security and immigration issues along the U.S. southern border and Mexico. He explains why developing a partnership with Mexico could greatly benefit the U.S. and help confront major issues. The Congressman also addresses hidden costs that counties along the U.S. southern border face, including handling unidentified migrant bodies who died while crossing the border. It's been several weeks since an Army helicopter and an American Airlines plane collided in Washington, D.C., and Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy has announced that significant changes are on the way. Despite numerous close calls and incidents, flying remains the safest mode of transportation in the United States by a wide margin. Former FAA Chief Operations Officer David Grizzle joined the discussion to explain why the industry is stretched thin and the need to implement significant changes. The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program—or "SNAP"—is an option for people who need federal financial help to feed their families and buy groceries. In fiscal year 2023, more than 42 million people across the country received SNAP benefits, roughly 12% of Americans. In Texas and several other states, an effort has been made to prevent beneficiaries from using SNAP to purchase unhealthy foods. This movement has only gained momentum since the Trump administration and the new Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. vowed to “Make America Healthy Again.” This week, Gurnal Scott spoke with Texas State Senator Mayes Middleton, who has a bill to prevent people from using SNAP benefits on things like chips, cookies, candy, and soda. He explained these items offer little to no nutritional value and are fueling America’s obesity problem and raising health care costs for all Americans. Middleton also addressed the concerns of critics who worry about denying Americans choices on how to feed their families. We often must cut interviews short during the week, but we thought you might like to hear the full interview. Today on Fox News Rundown Extra, we will share our entire interview with Texas State Senator Mayes Middleton and get even more of his take on how reforming the SNAP program can make Americans healthier and save taxpayers money. April 2nd will be "Liberation Day," a claim President Trump made as he prepares to impose reciprocal tariffs on dozens of countries. The President has confidence that this move can rebalance trade relationships, bring in new revenue, and encourage domestic production. Additionally, he announced plans to place a 25% tariff on all auto imports, a move that could heavily impact the car manufacturing industry. FOX Business White House Correspondent Edward Lawrence discusses how these tariffs could bring in money for the U.S., impact prices for consumers, and have potential consequences across the globe. The National Republican Congressional Committee aims to flip 26 Democratic-held seats in next year's midterm election. The organization hopes to capitalize on divisions within the Democratic Party to expand its majority. Meanwhile, several incumbent Democrats have announced they will not seek re-election, making the election map all the more challenging for them. National Political Reporter at The Hill Julia Manchester examines the races to watch in the 2026 election cycle and unpacks both parties' vulnerabilities. Learn more about your ad choices. For decades, there have been numerous conspiracy theories related to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. President Trump’s recent release of thousands of pages of files was intended to shed light on the murder. FOX News Rundown host Lisa Brady recently spoke with Gerald Posner, an American investigative journalist and the author of “Case Closed: Lee Harvey Oswald and the Assassination of JFK.” Posner has investigated the assassination and the conspiracy theories for decades. He went through some of the new information released and explained why nothing changed his belief that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone when he shot the President. We often must cut interviews short during the week, but we thought you might like to hear the full interview. Today on Fox News Rundown Extra, we will share our entire interview with author and journalist Gerald Posner. President Trump withdrew Rep. Elise Stefanik’s (R-NY) nomination to serve as US Ambassador to the United Nations. The surprise move was made due to concerns over a potential competitive special election in her district, and the Republicans' already razor-thin majority in the House. The GOP is also worried about this Tuesday’s special elections in Florida’s 6th and 1st Congressional districts, where polls are shockingly close despite President Trump winning both handily back in November. FOX News Senior Congressional Correspondent Chad Pergram discusses what may be next for Rep. Stefanik and the other big headlines from Capitol Hill. The Department of Government Efficiency, led by billionaire Elon Musk, has remarkable influence on the Trump administration and the federal government. But until this week, the people behind the effort to cut government waste and fraud have been a bit of a mystery. On Thursday, FOX's Bret Baier sat down with several DOGE members and Elon Musk on Special Report to give a behind-the-scenes look into the department. Learn more about your ad choices. Last weekend, Judge James Boasberg issued a temporary restraining order that prevents the Trump administration from using the Alien Enemies Act for deportations. The circuit court ruled against the administration, which claims there is an "invasion" that would allow them to enforce the act. As a result, Judge Boasberg's order remains in effect. FOX News Sunday anchor Shannon Bream joins us to discuss the legal issues surrounding the Alien Enemies Act and the recent fallout over the Signal chat leak. The genetic testing company 23andMe has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy amid financial struggles. Over nearly twenty years, millions of customers used the company’s DNA-based ancestry test kit, giving them a lot of personal information. Thousands of Palestinians took to the streets of Gaza this week demanding an end to the war and also protesting the Hamas terror group calling for their ouster. It is a rare and dangerous display for Palestinians who were heard chanting "Down with Hamas" as Hamas has violently cracked down on any previous protests. Many are asking if this could be the start of the end of Hamas rule in Gaza. FOX’s Eben Brown speaks with Lt. Col. (Ret.) Jonathan Conricus, senior fellow at FDD focused on the Middle East. He served in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) for 24 years as a combat commander in Lebanon and the Gaza Strip, who says these protests could very well be a change in Gaza but the true impact will take some time. After the Trump administration ordered the deportation of alleged Venezuelan gang members to a prison in El Salvador, the move is now being challenged by the U.S. Court of Appeals. President Trump and his team argued this move is legal under the Alien Enemies Act; however, a U.S. District Judge issued an order blocking the government from using this for deportations, setting the stage for a legal battle ahead. Former DOJ prosecutor James Trusty joins the Rundown to discuss the Trump administration’s legal powers and limitations when it comes to deportations. Most people believe that owning a home is key to the American Dream; almost 84 percent of home buyers and over half of renters agree on this in the latest Angi American Dream Survey.
