The latest episode of Plan B CRNA delves into the timeless wisdom of William Shakespeare's quote, "What's past is prologue," and its relevance in our modern lives. This episode explores the idea that our past actions and experiences have undoubtedly shaped who we are today, setting the stage for the present. However, it emphasizes the crucial point that the past doesn't dictate every detail of our future. Listeners are reminded of their agency and free will, likening life to being co-authors of their own story. The episode navigates the complex balance between fate and free will, debunking the misconception that past success guarantees future success while providing practical insights on how to break free from the cycle of past mistakes. It encourages embracing the unknown as an opportunity for growth and change, reinforcing the idea that our past may determine our starting point, but it doesn't have to define our future. In a world where many seek guidance on navigating life's uncertainties, this episode of Plan B CRNA offers a thought-provoking exploration of how individuals can shape their destinies and craft their unique life stories. Drawing inspiration from Shakespearean wisdom, it inspires listeners to reflect on their past, learn from it, and use that knowledge to pave the way for a future filled with potential, growth, and new beginnings. As the episode concludes, it leaves the audience with the empowering message that the best stories are those yet to be written, inviting them to embrace the unknown with open arms and seize the opportunity to shape their future as they see fit. In the latest episode of the Plan B CRNA Podcast, I dive into the intriguing realm of motivation, drawing inspiration from a personal anecdote involving my youngest daughter's journey to conquer swimming. To kick things off, I open with a quote from Lyndon B. Johnson that brilliantly illustrates how the world's perception can shape our reality. From there, I delve into my own experiences as a parent, recounting the tale of my six-year-old daughter's pursuit of swimming prowess over the summer. This experience got me thinking about the three main ways motivation operates, not just in parenting but in all life aspects. First, the external chatter can bog us down. Second, we can brush off the negativity and stay authentic. Lastly, we can leverage criticism to fuel our drive. In a candid exploration, I discuss how the ever-tempting world of social media can deflate or supercharge our motivation. Drawing from my daughter's journey, I underline the significance of finding our personal motivational triggers and sustaining action alongside motivation. It's not just about inspiration – consistency matters. I wrap up by urging listeners to scrutinize their motivating factors, cultivate self-awareness, and maintain an unwavering commitment to their aspirations. On May the 4th, also known as Star Wars Day, people around the world celebrate the epic space opera franchise. The article revolves around the quote “I am one with the Force, and the Force is with me” from the movie Rogue One, spoken by Chirrut Imwe. Chirrut is a blind warrior-monk who has deep spiritual beliefs and worships the Force. Chanting this mantra helped him overcome his blindness and focus more intently on a task. The article explains how chanting and mantras work to calm and center the mind, regardless of the religion. Research shows that chanting specific mantras can lead to stress reduction, mood elevation, and increased cardiovascular tone stability. Additionally, different mantras can help alleviate anxiety, depression, and nervousness in social situations. For example, “This will pass,” “I am kind to myself,” and “I have value” are mantras that can help alleviate anxiety, depression, and nervousness in social situations. The author concludes that you don’t have to practice a religion to practice chanting, and everyone can benefit from this simple technique. This podcast is divided into two episodes, where the first episode talks about the mobile home market and how to invest in it. The terms mobile homes, manufactured homes, and trailers are defined and explained. The opportunity to invest in mobile homes is discussed, where it is estimated that 6.5% of the U.S. population lives in prefabricated homes, and the manufactured housing market is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 5%. The average sale price of manufactured homes has risen around 80% since 2014 but is still much less than the standard single-family home. Individual investors are getting into mobile home park investing since they are becoming a preferred way for investors with less capital to get into real estate. The key differences between mobile home park investment and other real estate investments are discussed, including owning the land versus owning the property, lot fees versus HOA fees, tenant turnover, economies of scale, and lower purchase prices. Finally, a personal story is shared about searching for a mobile home for a family member due to skyrocketing rents. Join us in this thought-provoking episode as we delve into the relationship between patience and expectation. Inspired by Shinichi Suzuki's quote, "Patience is the absence of expectation," we explore the impact of expectations on our lives and the role they play in our experiences of impatience, disappointment, and frustration. Through personal anecdotes and introspection, we discuss the challenges of navigating a world filled with expectations, both self-imposed and societal. We acknowledge the necessity of expectations for personal growth and societal functioning but also recognize the importance of finding a balance and not being too hard on ourselves or others. Drawing parallels to various aspects of life, such as music, cooking, and personal evolution, we reflect on the need for experimentation and the ability to adapt our expectations as we go through different stages and experiences. We also touch upon the power of forgiveness towards ourselves and others, allowing us to move forward and embrace acceptance. With a touch of grace and self-compassion, we explore the idea of setting more realistic expectations for ourselves and those around us, aiming for a healthier perspective that fosters patience and a more fulfilling journey through life. Tune in to this enlightening episode as we strive to understand the complex interplay between patience and expectation, and discover how a mindful approach to both can lead to greater peace and contentment in our lives. What you resist persists, in other words, the more we resist anything in life, the more we bring it to us. AKA The law of attraction. It’s hard to imagine that what we think about we attract. By focusing on the negative the more negative we tend to bring into our lives, but it works the opposite as well. Focus on the positive, the more positive is in our lives. Your emotions are your internal compass, pointing you in whichever direction they dominate. Have you ever stopped to think about how much energy and passion you put into thinking about what you don’t want? Why do people who express gratitude on a regular basis seem happier as a whole? Join me on this Thoughtful Thursday as I ponder these ideas further For more information on this concept check out the following links. https://www.quora.com/What-is-the-source-of-the-quote-attributed-to-Carl-Jung-what-you-resist-not-only-persists-but-will-grow-in-size-If-its-in-a-book-he-wrote-which-one-is-it https://medium.com/thrive-global/what-you-resist-persists-7bf808f5672c https://www.thesecret.tv/blog/change-the-world/ https://www.abraham-hicks.com To find out more about investing in multifamily real estate schedule a call at https://www.oncallinvestments.com/ Are you a healthcare provider exploring options outside of your traditional career path? A CRNA’s work is hard, and as a CRNA only you can see where equipment needs to be upgraded or reinvented to improve the quality of care. With so many different products out there to assist you in your job, you may be asking why you are still using 5 separate pieces when really if combined they would be more effective. If only someone could come along and create a better product. Heath Paulsen had that exact same thought about airways. He couldn’t figure out why, when there is already an airway device in use, you would have to introduce another suction device into an airway with the potential to cause more harm than good. He decided to take action and created a device that was safer for the patient and easier for the CRNA to use. Join Heath and me as he delves into his experience of invention, mission work, and pursuing his goal. Health Paulsen has been a CRNA for 13 years, and a Chief CRNA in Iowa and in the Army Reserve. He has deployed with FST to Afghanistan and Germany and has been on multiple mission trips. Heath developed the Paulsen Airway, the only self-suctioning airway on the market. He’s using funds from the Paulsen Airway to allow mission surgery teams to have the same capabilities as military surgical teams. Throughout the years' discoveries, and inventions often came when people least expected them. Searching for one answer only to find an answer to a question they didn't even know needed answering. Through these ignorant discoveries came legacies left behind for others to continue to learn from. But with all of that the question remains, how does one leave a lasting legacy? On this Thoughtful Thursday, I delve into the purpose of leaving a legacy and how you can leave one which many will talk about for years to come. “We can explore, create, invent, and discover because it is our duty to each other to ask questions and solve problems, not because we want to live on forever. The only permanence in life is impermanence.” For more information or for more cool discoveries and inventions check out the following links https://www.goethe.de/prj/mis/en/mit/tte.html https://hellobio.com/blog/what-are-the-greatest-scientific-discoveries-of-all-time.html https://www.history.co.uk/shows/mankind-the-story-of-all-of-us/articles/mankinds-greatest-inventions https://dailystoic.com/the-only-permanence-is-impermanence/ If you’re interested in passive income opportunities with tax-advantaged real estate, visit my website at www.oncallinvestments.com or reach out to me on FB, LinkedIn, or Instagram. He explains that Amazon's Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP) is a great platform for uploading these types of books. He outlines the various types of low-content and medium-content books that can be produced, including gratitude journals, workbooks, activity books, puzzles and game books, and quote books. Part 2 of 2 - In this episode of the podcast, Steven talks about his experience of taking on an RV park and realizing that it takes much more work than he anticipated. He discusses the importance of putting in hard work for 10 years before seeing the returns and how it gets easier and better after that. He also shares his plans for future investments and how he intends to raise money for bigger apartment complexes. However, he cautions that raising money comes with a different set of stress as one has to respond to investors' calls. Steven emphasizes that he seeks freedom and options, and owning 20 units himself is more appealing than owning 2% of a hundred units. Steven and his co-host touch upon the importance of having a diversified portfolio and the options it provides. Steven believes that investing in real estate may not be for everyone, and one needs to have a certain risk tolerance. In conclusion, Steven's experience in real estate investing highlights the importance of putting in the hard work and dedication needed to achieve long-term financial success. While it may not be for everyone, diversifying your portfolio with real estate investments can provide you with options and freedom in the future. Remember, investing is a marathon, not a sprint, and with patience and persistence, you can achieve your financial goals. Join me as we take a deep dive into the world of craft beer and explore its explosive growth over the past few decades. As someone who has always been drawn to the art of brewing, I talk about how some friends and I decided to take the plunge and start our own brewery. It was a dream that we had been pursuing for years. But first… We'll start by looking back at the history of American beer and how it was nearly decimated by Prohibition and WWII. But thanks to key events like Fritz Maytag's purchase of Anchor Brewing, the legalization of home brewing by Jimmy Carter, and the founding of the Sierra Nevada and Boston Beer Company, craft beer began to make a comeback. Today, the craft beer industry is thriving with over 7000 breweries in the U.S. alone producing and shipping roughly 200 million barrels of beer per year. And while much of the recent growth can be attributed to the reopening of restaurants and bars post-Covid, the trend towards craft beer has been steadily increasing for the past decade. We'll also take a look at the global beer market, which is expected to grow to $1.25 trillion by 2030 with a 7% growth rate. Younger drinkers are driving the surge in demand for craft beer, seeking out a variety of styles and taste profiles. If you're interested in getting into the craft beer industry, there are a number of different paths to consider, each with its own unique advantages and challenges. Quote - “Successful people don’t fear failure but understand that it’s necessary to learn and grow from.” - Robert Kiyosaki "Fail it till you nail it" is a concept that encourages individuals to embrace failure as a positive and necessary aspect of the learning process. This mindset suggests that instead of fearing failure, individuals should strive to fail more frequently, as it leads to growth and eventual success. The podcast explores the various benefits of failing, such as increased resilience, learning from mistakes, and a greater appreciation for success. Failure is not something to be ashamed of but a valuable opportunity to learn and improve. I also emphasize the importance of taking risks and stepping outside of one's comfort zone, as this can lead to new experiences and growth. Fear of failure often holds people back, but by embracing failure and viewing it as a stepping stone rather than an obstacle, individuals can unlock their full potential. The podcast also discusses the importance of perseverance and how failure can fuel a drive to keep trying until success is achieved. Failure is a natural and necessary part of the journey toward success. By adopting a "fail it till you nail it" mindset, individuals can overcome obstacles and achieve their goals. Overall, the podcast encourages listeners to embrace failure as a positive and necessary part of the learning process and to view it as a catalyst for growth and success. By failing more often and learning from mistakes, individuals can unlock their full potential and achieve their goals. “Long-term consistency beats short-term intensity.” - Bruce Lee Consistency is a key factor in achieving success. It means maintaining a steady and persistent approach toward your goals and objectives, no matter how challenging they may seem. Whether it's a personal or professional project, consistent effort and dedication over time can lead to substantial progress and eventual success. Consistency allows you to stay focused on your end goal and make steady progress toward it, without getting sidetracked or losing motivation. Success requires patience, discipline, and commitment, all of which can be achieved through consistency. By consistently working towards your goals, you create a habit and routine that makes staying motivated and on track easier. This can help you overcome any obstacles or setbacks that you may encounter along the way. Consistency also helps to build confidence and self-esteem, as you can see the progress you are making and the impact you are having. Ultimately, by being consistent, you are sending a message to yourself and others that you are committed to achieving your goals, no matter what it takes. Multifamily real estate can be a valuable asset for individuals looking to elevate their retirement portfolios. This investment offers several advantages over traditional retirement savings options, such as stocks, bonds, and mutual funds. One key benefit of investing in multifamily real estate is the potential for consistent, passive income through rental income. This income can provide a reliable source of retirement income that can help to supplement social security and other sources of retirement income. Another advantage of investing in multifamily real estate is the potential for long-term appreciation. Real estate has historically appreciated over time, and multifamily properties can be especially valuable due to the increased demand for rental housing. This type of investment also offers the potential for tax benefits, as expenses related to owning and operating a multifamily property, such as property management, maintenance, and repairs, can be tax deductible. In addition, individuals may be able to defer taxes on the sale of a multifamily property through a 1031 exchange. Overall, investing in multifamily real estate can be a smart strategy for individuals looking to elevate their retirement portfolios and secure their financial future. Jorge Abreu is a Full-Time Multifamily Real Estate Investor and CEO of Elevate Commercial Investment Group. He focuses on 100+ Units, C, B, and A class properties & also does new development projects. He acquired 8,038 Doors and has $550M + assets under management. He is also the CEO of JNT Construction which focuses on helping Multifamily Investors with their Due Diligence & Full renovations.
