For many years she and her late husband Dr. Robert Lambert fought and won many battles for the rights of the disabled, especially the blind, while pioneering helpful new tech. In 2021, Irene Lambert was honored with the Chris Stark Distinguished Advocacy Award by Barrier Free Canada in recognition of her lifelong contributions to disability rights and accessible communities around the world.
