ENJOY THIS EPISODE: This weeks guest is Nancy Ma, a Registered Physiotherapist, Nutritional Therapist, Medical Acupuncture Provider, Clinic Director, Event Planner. In short, she is a life enthusiast. I met Nancy as I was looking for someone to help rehab my low back pain. Although she has many titles, her objective is always the same: to cultivate an environment conducive to improving the health and happiness of her patients. Yoga has been a major contributor to Nancy’s treatment philosophy as its roots lie deep in whole body movement, flow, meditation, breath and connectivity. I can honestly say that I wasn’t a big fan of Yoga etc as it always seemed very ‘fluffy’ and as a former football player, contractor, etc it didn’t fit my image. However, its a very holistic approach to health and wellness. Blending Yoga with Physiotherapy has been a major factor in my healing as well as a major contributor to her other success stories in rehabilitation and wellness. Nancy has also worked at several orthopedic clinics where she treated patients with complex issues resulting from motor vehicle accidents as well as sports injuries. Nancy is currently training in yoga, has a black belt degree in Shoto-Kan Karate, and plays volleyball, squash, and badminton. As you will see, her passion is in improving quality of life through exercise and healthier lifestyle choices.
