#078 Financial Wellness as a Component of Culture with Irma Neal
Manage episode 446465384 series 3440800
This week as we look at organizational culture, my guest and I talk about how an employer has the opportunity to look more at the whole person and meet them where they are in the workplace. This approach can only help your productivity and profitability. During our conversation, we talk about two important topics. Financial Wellness and Inclusivity.
A former Deputy Mayor of Indianapolis and former Director of Human Services in two large urban jurisdictions, Irma Neal has over 30 years of experience in managing human services programs in state and local government and corporate America.
And, she now has over 15 years of experience as a private business owner
Irma and I connected on several of our experiences from our childhood to life in the corporate world.
Here are my top 5 takeaways:
1. There is a direct correlation between your mindset about money and your level of success.
2. You are more likely to take risks if you have an abundance mindset.
3. Nobody wakes up and says “what kind of mistakes can I make today”
4. You have to embed inclusivity and belonging or it can go away with a leadership change.
5. Respect is the key. Understanding that it takes the whole of the team and not just the individual.
